The more you understand the universe and human history, the more it really sounds silly though, to be honest. Not necessarily as a bad thing but looking at "How" instead of "Why" slowly begins to make a lot of things about the "reasons" subjects definitely look like a comforting imagination without plausibility. Even though it sounds pretty, the universe is really ugly. I mean like we've already learned the laws of physics are a death warrant to all possible life eventually, that kind of ugly.
