always begin putting your points into armor and weapon building. it may seem useless at first, but when you get to higher levels, you will pat yourself on the back when you are able to take on a mythic deathclaw with a quad barrel homing missle launcher

If youre going for a melee build, always invest in heavy arnor and heavy melee weapons, you wont be able to do shit if you die before you get to the first guy

also, always have at least 3 different kinds of weapons you use often, you never know when you might need them

always try to get your charisma and perception to the maximum, more caps in pocket mean more things you can buy, and more junk you can aquire, perception so you can tell where your enemies are

also dont rush through the story, you will miss a lot of content
