Handbrake is on, floor the clutch, floor the gas, gently release the clutch until the car's nose goes up a bit, release the handbrake. The car goes forward.

Keep the clutch at the point where you don't roll either direction, right foot ready on the speeder so you're ready to go.

If it's a small hill I always just gave it a bit more gas and if it's a big hill i'd use the hand brake and push the accelerator and then once my RPMS were nice and high and let go of the brake and let the clutch out

Here driving instructors never teach to use hand brake, you just hold brake pedal with your right foot, release clutch just enough to feel some traction, release brake and accelerate, thats it. It sounds more complicated than it actually is. It might be hard to do if youre a new driver but once you get it its fantastic

I just release the brake and gun it, but your way sounds safer in tight situations

I do the same, but wouldnt recommend to new drivers, they would probably go out with the engine, if this would happen in a road cross, it would be really bad

Doesn't work if your driving a weak petrol. Diesel handles it fine though.

Yeah you'll be fine from around a 0.8 upwards, but in the city I'm starting to see more and more that are 0.6 or lower. Fine until you get to a hill and then you get stuck behind the struggling fucker.

weird, in my country you must learn manual in order to get a standard licence, if you drive only autos youll get a specific driving licence with limitations

eh, I live in Indiana and I would estimate 95% of the vehicles I see on the road are automatics. maybe if you live in the south or something this is different but essentially all cars, nearly all SUV's, and even most trucks are automatic in the USA

you don't.
You brake, you let go of the throttle just enough, then you switch from the break quickly to the throttle, its not rocket science.....
