There's promoting awareness for a lifestyle and then there's this shit, it wouldn't have been as bad if it wasn't for that ending sentence in my opinion.

Here is the problem. We already produce enough food in this country to feed nearly everyone on the planet. The problem is that people are people. They let the food go bad. They decide to charge extra on food that has been imported/exported. We could end world hunger tomorrow and have leftovers.

Here is another problem. I like meat. You can be as unhappy as you want about that but I'm still going to eat it. Why? Because I like it. Because I can. Pick one.

Oh, fuck off with that shit!
User avatar #329 - schneidend (03/04/2015) [-]
Is that supposed to be the daily recommended values? Because cuccumbers do not provide any significant amount of protein. Those numbers are clearly made up.
#188 - anonymousfinn (03/04/2015) [-]
Fuck off with those fake ass statistics. Cucumber is like 98% water, and I doubt it actually has ANY proten AT ALL. You're either a bait which if you are, you're failing horribly since people haven't even red tumbed you or unbeliavably stupid
#279 - fefe (03/04/2015) [-]

#290 - anonymousfinn (03/04/2015) [-]

#174 - sirfurnace (03/04/2015) [-]
Actually, bugs have more protien per kilogram than meat or that (False) propaganda.
#181 - zielscheibe (03/04/2015) [-]
That is true - and some good roasted grasshoppers dont thast that bad at all.

They kind of taste like french fires if you do it right and are crispy as fuck.

and i heard they have some good stuff , made out of bugs already.

Let's see if this becomes a thing one day.
User avatar #178 - veganballs (03/04/2015) [-]
The numbers reflect the percentage of protein per calorie not mass.
User avatar #217 - travishein (03/04/2015) [-]
In a standard serving size of 52 grams, a cucumber has .3 grams of protein. Not only is that not anywhere near 24% (total load or per calorie) it's more like .006 percent. Have you ever eaten a cucumber? It's painfully obvious they are mostly water and cellulose. They are wonderful to eat, especially fresh, but you are doing anyone with a vegetarian/vegan agenda a disservice if you try to push that misinformation onto anyone. Seriously, read some fucking nutritional info for God's sake.
#156 - auryn (03/04/2015) [-]
I don't have to any effort finding alternative sources nor do I spend any extra money.

Neither on a larger scale do I think that should be the case. It's actually quite circuitous when you think about it.
Did you know you could feed 800 million people with the grain that it takes to feed the U.S. livestock?
Quite inefficient if you ask me. You'd be better off spending the time and resources directly on the alternatives.

#3073 - auryn (03/04/2015) [-]
Well, maybe you can't tell the difference, but you'll find that most guitar players can, and that they are more expensive for a reason.

But as I said, it's just a matter of whether it's worth paying for the difference. If you honestly think the lower end models sound and play similar to the high end models then obviously it's not worth paying more.

User avatar #2832 - metalheadtildeath (03/03/2015) [-]
i'll take the warlock if you don't want it i'd love to have another warlock. mine is the cheapo red bevel guitar package one, but it sounds the exact same as SOME of the higher end ones so why pay more? but for real, i'd take your old warlock....i dig ltd gear, their fretboards are nice and flat, which is a big reason why i dislike fender, feels like i am playing on a pringles can. not any kind of a fan of floyd rose bridges or any kind of tremolo system. more of a hard tail kind of guy (tune-o-matics specifically)
#3070 - auryn (03/03/2015) [-]
I don't think you'll want my warlock, apart from some technical issues which caused me to replace it, it has a floyd rose tremelo block too.

But while you're on the topic anyway of why paying more, somebody I know got one of the cheaper series B.C. Rich guitar.
You could definitely tell the difference. Lighter, worse wood for the body. Different fretboard. Different quality components. It played a lot worse and the tone was worse too.
You do get what you pay for for in a lot of cases, the question just is whether for you personally it's worth the difference.

On its turn, The ESP I have now feels and sounds superior in all aspects compared to my B.C. Rich. But then again it costs three times as much.

I don't know if I'll ever buy a B.C. Rich again, probably not. I think there are more interesting guitars out there if you're specifically looking for heavy metal guitars, like LTD, Jackson or an Ibanez, or even a Schecter.
