Yes, Indeed. But I'm going to stop talking about the prequels now because in the end for me it all boils down to this:

I could and would forgive the Prequels many of its flaws if only it had some meaningful interaction and genuine relationships, if only they managed to make the viewer relate and care about the characters and what's happening on screen, if there was some sense of relatability, if only they managed to make the viewer emotionally involved to at least some extent.

But instead everthing feels trivial and meaningless, the characters have the depth of cardboard cut-outs.
Their actions are untelligible, their motivation questionable, and both many a time contradictory.
This combined with a inchorent plot full unnecessary illogical complexities, leaves for a credibility and of next to zero.
All that's left is an empty shell of gimmicks and clichés, an expensive showcase of CGI, costumes, sets and light saber action, with strategically incorporated elements solely for commercial purposes.

The prequels feel like an insult to both my intellectual, as my emotional intelligence.

(I'm sorry if I bored anyone with my rant, I just need to vent my deep-seated discontentment with the prequels from time to time, my psychiatrist told me this was better.)

I never stated i hated teh sequals, i enjoy watching them, i know they are crappy, and the actors make wood look alive, but at the same time its star wars, so i get that special feel from it, i dont enjoy the movie for the movie, i enjoy it for the memories it brings back. I would choose the original trilogy, but i have no problem watching the prequals.

It's impossible to make a movie about awesome stuff like jedi's, the force, and lightsabers that isn't entertaining at all, but George damn sure tried.

You keep whining and bitching about the prequels along with the other neckbeards, but this "There's just a lot of young folk around without any sense of discernment that is easily impressed with some flashy CGI and slick light saber action and can't see that through this superficial layer of commericial gimmicks. It's one big incohorent mess of inept film-making" applies to the first 3 movies as well. People that loved the first 3 movies grew up into whiny cunts that expected some sort of miracle from the prequels.
It's exactly the same style, but you're all too deep in hatred and stupidity to see it.

Because if a lot of people have the same critique, wouldn't it actually be more likely to be true? (I'm not saying it is)
I don't know, I don't really follow your logic here.

STAR WARS episode I Qui-Gon & Obi-Wan using force speed to escape
Actually, even worse, in "The Phantom Menace" Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon use Force Speed to run from the battle droids.

But you never see them use it again, not even at moments when it was actually needed (Think: the Darth Maul fight, where Obi Wan couldn't get rhough the laser gates in time to reach Qui-Gon and Darth Maul to prevent Qui-Gon Jin's death)

Just a typical example of the unthoughful, sloppy storywriting, and one of the many plotholes and contradictions.

well you obviously dont know funnyjunkers

if you ever paid attention to them. they largely bitch at anything that contradicts mainstream ideals of political corectness

in the case of this pic, providing the non-PC truth about race/species, the FJ kids would bitch about it being 'racist'

then again you seem to devote your time to ************ others instead of paying attention to them

Read back all the comments of our conversation and you'll find that 90% of the ************ is done by you. I've said a thing or two but you resort to ungrounded insults pretty much every comment.

Hypocrisy much?

So you're gonna keep trolling?
Also, why did you choose this name, and not another Trek name?
Did you not want to be known as Trek anymore?
#8 to #7 - auryn (04/02/2012) [-]
I figured I'll just keep a low profile this time and keep the trolling to a minimum.
