"lift weights" ...really?
#78 - N. Korean citizen (05/09/2013) [-]
yes lifting weights is how to get bigger. No matter how much weight you can do yourself.
User avatar #39 - atvdude (05/09/2013) [-]
gotta start somewhere, if you start doing activities that require more muscle, you will build muscle and gain weight. Also, your body will begin to store more calories due to expecting to burn more of it from working out

If you think Children of Dune was hard to read (how???), then maybe you shouldn't even try to pick up God-Emperor of Dune.

I read the entire series (from Dune to Chapterhouse Dune) about 7 or 8 times, and I still feel the need to read God-Emperor again.

There is another book after Chapterhouse. And Herbert's son released prequel books.
User avatar #22 - tkfourtwoone (05/09/2013) [-]
All books after Chapterhouse (there are 2 sequels and I've lost track how many prequels) are written by his son, Brian Herbert, in collaboration with Kevin J. Anderson, based on what sketches Frank Herbert left.
#36 - tomthehippie (05/09/2013) [-]
I don't have all the prequels, but I have read the books after Chapterhouse (although it's been a long time), which ones have you read?
User avatar #79 - tkfourtwoone (05/10/2013) [-]
None, but I read the plot summary and I don't intend to read them.
Not very interested in what Brian Herbert wrote.

...No?

The main reason for a computer case is to protect the computers parts, And allow for the creation of correct airflow.

Fans pulling air in, and pushing air out.

Him having them on this wall, more than four feet off the floor not only places it in the hottest part of the room, but only the CPU, and GPU are being cooled. And even then, not all that well.

What about the Memory controller? The HDD's? The Ram? All of those are cooled mainly due to the airflow within the case.

The creator of this computer is an idiot. Which explains the DVI to VGA connector.
#84 - AyeYoFATBOI (05/07/2013) [-]
See now I was thinking of doing this but I realized that only my core components would get cooled, but my solution was to mount a fan on a ceiling or wall near the entire cpu (Heavy duty, like one in a garage.) and just have it cool everything. The only downside is that it would always be a bit breezy while I'm on the computer but I just wanted to ask if that would still cool everything necessary, you seem like you would know..
#105 - Deanoss (05/07/2013) [-]
why not just mount a piece of perspex over the front of it, allowing for airflow from the fans to circulate better and protect it from anything hitting the vital components
#86 - klldarkness (05/07/2013) [-]
It would, Kinda.

The main problem with this, is that it would mainly be pushing air at the components, as opposed to moving it across the surface.

If you were to have it on the side, moving air across, would work well enough. the dust issue would get out of hand, after a while, but, it's workable.

Yea, saw it in theaters when it came out
They legitimately shot it in 3d instead of most movies where they just convert it later - the quality was so much better than most "3d" movies.
