asimetrical (09/11/2015) [-] I honestly cannot say from personal experience, but I had a friend who worked at Disney then left to work at Universal. He came back to Disney because it was more fun and he made more money. On a side note, I also met my wife while working at Disney, so there is that.

asimetrical (09/11/2015) [-] Simple, most I have worked, a person earns overtime when the work more than 40 hours in 1 week. At Disney it is when you work more that 8 hours in one day. Then you earn double time over 12 hours in one day. And it continues to increase as long as you work. If you work more than 14 hours, if you have less than 3 hours until your next shift then it is as if you never got off. Now story time with aSIMetrical: The time is June 2002, and I had to open the Cappuccino cart at the front of Main Street USA. Well the person who was to take over called out sick and Ialso had to close the cart. Well bad luck would have it that also was drawn to work Grad Night. After finishing Grad Night, I had to work a full day and Grad Night again. Well that I didn't have to finish the second Grad Night as a student stole the bank off of my wagon. (That it itself is a great story that I may share one day). Anyhow long story short, thanks to Disney's overtime structure, that was the only two days I worked during that pay week and I ended up making just over $1,500 that week alone. So yeah, it was hard work, but it was fun. #23 -

anon (09/11/2015) [-] Disney almost never has enough people to cover all the shifts so we can always pick up extra hours. Any hour worked past 8 hours in one day becomes overtime. And any time we work 6 days the 6th day is all overtime. Plus there's also double time pay but that becomes more complicated.
