I've also used a dating site, and would get at least a dozen messages a day from random guys who didn't even look like they read my profile because many of them were out of my age range, too long distance, or had wildly different lifestyles. Women on dating sites typically get so many messages, it's hard to reply to them all and it can get overwhelming. The cuter the girl, the more messages she is probably getting. Only guys who can make themselves stand out in a positive way will get replies. Here is how you can help:

1. Don't use a selfie. Ask a friend to take your picture, or use a self timer. Stage it outside in natural lighting, don't use sunglasses, and remember to smile. I remember seeing lots of selfies of men taken in their dingy bathroom mirrors, looking sullen. It was a turn off.

2. Include pictures of yourself doing things you enjoy. I have pictures of myself hiking, camping and painting. I was more apt to respond to men who had pictures of themselves doing similar things.

3. Read her profile, and ask a question about something she's written. I got a lot of messages from men like "Hey, cutie, how are you doing this evening?" or "Hi." or "Hey, what are you doing this weekend?" They aren't BAD messages (lord knows I got plenty of messages like "Why haven't we had sex yet?") but they are boring. They are the kind of messages you send in texts to your friends, not the kind of messages you send to a potential date you're meeting for the first time. Ask open-ended questions like, "I see you like to travel. What was the most exciting story you have from your travels?" or "What made you decide to become a teacher?" You'll seem more interested in that particular girl, and more likely to get a response.

I'm happy with who I am, I think I treat others exactly how I want to be treated. I dont drink or smoke. I make art, play video games, and serve my country. Yea I can be shy and introvert sometimes but I try to make up for it as much as i can. I'm assuming you said that because i took a picture that gave off a bit of doucheness or maybe you just took a shot in the dark.
Maybe you're right though, I act different from alot of people and ive gotten flak for it my entire life. I really dont know what it is because ive been observing myself and others for years to figure out how to make people more comfortable with me.

You need slightly longer hair on the side like a 2 or a little lower, and you need longer hair on top. The other guy was right when he said you need glasses with thicker frames, they make your head look more symmetric. Also you need to smile and look more confident, women love that shit.

But overall, online dating didn't work for me either. From my experience as a woman in online dating, I can maybe help you see why you didn't get many responses.

Unless the girl is extremely unattractive, we usually end up getting slammed with a dozen or more messages every day. Most men, instead of sending messages only to a few women they really think look promising, send messages to EVERY SINGLE woman they think looks attractive enough for them. Even if they're a hundred miles away, even if they're a decade or more older than the woman's selected age range, even if their preferences were obviously incompatible.

I got messages like "So, why haven't we had sex yet?" or "Wanna hook up tonite?" when, if they were to actually read my profile, they would have known I'm not the kind of woman who appreciates those messages. I became overwhelmed after a month and had to quit. There were plenty of nice, reasonably attractive men, but I just kept getting too many messages and I felt bad not being able to respond to them all.

If it helps, I was more likely to respond to a guy if he had a nice picture of himself SMILING (not a dingy bathroom selfie), if he asked me something about something I'd written on my profile (so I know he actually read it and didn't just send a message based on my picture), if his pictures showed him doing things that I also like doing (hiking, camping, canoeing), or if something in his profile made me laugh or smile.

Im not too good at making people laugh i guess but i do try to treat whoever i want to hook up with with respect. Generally I do like to read statuses whenever searching so i can find someone that relates to me. I cant imagine how shitty it must be to try online dating if you're a girl. Knowing the guys in my area they probably do exactly what you just described.

But yea thanks for the tip. Ill try to include happier pictures and some pictures of my artwork to to see if that could interest some more interesting women.
