anonmynous (01/11/2016) [-] Ok this is my last post cause i got to go to bed and im getting thumbed to hell but i did enjoy our discussion. YES im aware of the illusion! Im not saying that you would be able to see 2 very tall buildings on either side of the photo tilted relative to one another. Im saying the illusion is a product of the fact that in the original photo our view of the horizon is limited to only 20 miles or so. Come on, man. Your initial post states that there is no wide-angle "trickery" going on. There clearly is. It's just a byproduct of using a wide angle lense. | ||

Yet you post the same ******** comics that are basically **** but with an "innocent" ending that makes people think furries are freaks. I saw your reply to my comment an decided to check if you had mentioned anything about those scene kids.
I don't mind furries, whatever floats your boat bud, but it's the comics and "humour" like that that make people dislike furries. Then come the replies of "oh it's normal everyone has fetishes blah blah blah."

My bad, the other guy commenting made me assume it was you. Supporting it is just as bad however, and my point still stands.
Bunch of people in the community I like, plenty of friends, I appreciate the humor- Overall I like the community and enjoy being a member of it. That's really all there is to it. I don't have any big facts or things to point out, it's all subjective, as with pretty much any hobby.
So, it's just a good community or something? I still wonder about the "furry" part itself.
Honestly that part is fun. It's different for everyone, so I can only speak for myself here. Before I start- it's all basically one big game of pretend where you try to get immersed, the cringe begins when you forget it's pretend.
I guess I'll start with fursuiting. You put on a suit and act like the character the suit represents, and the idea is to give people that brief moment of interacting with something new, something strange, something that had to be dreamed up. It's a surreal moment sometimes, so the suiter is really doing it for the entertainment of others as much as themselves; one major reason they're so well appreciated at conventions
Online- it's kind of the same idea, except instead of being inside a suit, we can put on a new identity, change avatars disconnect from RL. Honestly, RL is a bitch right now no matter where you go, having an occasional disconnect from it helps with stress. We're free to dream up all sorts of characters that could be, and try on their personalities and traits to see how they fit.
Plenty of people appreciate the art as well, you can make all sorts of zany vibrance, and you might expect we have an appreciation for animals and nature- it gives the humanoid subject a bit more of a connection to that sometimes.
In the end, it's harmless, we all enjoy it for our own reasons, and the good ones of us would like to keep to ourselves about it until we're asked to share.

then people got all butthurt because they thought that children should not see that kind of **** so they started makin rating laws ans **** , making every generation of new cartoons worse and worse, all because their jimmies were rustled, when all they had to do was not watch the show in the first place, this is why we don't have decent cartoons like there used to be. Even though there are sometimes them newer cartoons that manage to get there dark humor on kid shows ( courage the cowardly dog show, Ren & Stimpy, Grim adventures of billy and mandy, ect.) I miss the golden days of tv.
