I did that this semester at my school. I found that many hours devoted to the game, Fez, helped a lot to better visualize 3D objects from individual 2D perspectives

im on the same boat as you buddy. when i was in high school i took a class for drawing isometrics, orthographics, 2d split view drawings, etc. then i took a class to do it in AutoCAD (more advanced blueprints, entire houses), got my certification, also grabbed certification for Autodesk Revit, which is for drawing blueprints, but instead of floorplans like in CAD, it was more about planning the inner layers of walls, insulation, ventilation, water systems, that sorta thing. Had to learn a shit ton of building codes. Ended up building a house once, not one i could live in, just a large scale model. like a tree house, except with a foundation, shingled roof, and insulated walls.

hated every second of it.

3 years of it here, my high school offered majors and i chose architecture. i didnt get any welding experience, mechanical engineering or one of those other majors had some of that. i got a little 3D printing but thats it really.

and lack of experience must be a major bummer. im still in college now, hope my job prospects in programming will be a little better.

when i did it, i liked the CAD part, hated the drawing part. they made us work to 1/32nd of an inch, the teacher was an angry asian lady, had eyes like a microscope and i had fat clumsy fingers. i wasnt cut out for hand drawn floorplans. and she was a meanie.

If that's indeed the case, then conscription shouldn't start until 21 either.

I like that you at least used quotes when you said "reason", because sadly a lot of people and guys try to use the whole "oh duur huur its our urges we're men its instinct" as an excuse for humping everything in sight.
