Son of an engineer, too. My father used to play with my Lego before I could, even if it was my birthday/christmas gift. I found my way into mathematics though because I'm less into technology. Two friends of mine and my girlfriend were influenced heavily by Lego and turned out to become engineers aswell.

I wanted to be a mechanical engineer and my dad really pushed me to go that route but I never did. I like a more hands on approach and to do all the steps. like if I have to make a new one off suspension component for a custom car, I like to measure, select materials, cut, bend, weld, etc. Then test fit, build a final version and then do the testing. I have to poop so I forgot what I was getting at.

I am the son of an aerospace engineer, I was a professional mechanic, I build race cars now and work for a fortune 100 company. I mean in that comment that my creativity exploded due to legos. I would build scale cities and go into extreme detail at a young age. That or I would have huge wars with legos. I actually want the new lego robotics. I had the old school set when I was a kid with the big yellow ECU. Yes I am ADD.
