Many people see it that way, but the internet has an odd way of making the loud assholes all stick out and circle jerk.

The internet is a wonderful platform for people to argue with others who have their own views, making extremist ideas stronger and making them villify everyone who disagrees with them. That can happen in real life too, but the internet made it SO much easier. It's the reason why feminists turned from: 'We want equal waves and an equal social status' to 'And we also want to circumcise all men so they don't feel sexual pleasure again'. People need to learn how to argue rationally and without spite with people who hold opposing views.

The point is, there is no one truth which is totally right. The more extreme someones opinion is, the more likely it is that this opinion is wrong. Only if people take the other point of view into consideration, they can possibly grasp the situation as a whole and find a solution which, you know, actually works and makes sense.
The reason why the situation in Sweden is so fucked because there, such a dialogue is not possible anymore. The one side proclaims that everyone who isn't totally open to unlimited immigration is racist; the other side proclaims that everyone who doesn't want to force every foreigner out is left-wing-extremist. Doing either of these things will only harm the nation more, but a moderate political opinion is attacked by both sides and thus just can't exist.
