Fuck my math was jacked... But my point stands. If a crew of 10 is getting .75 cents an hour more, that's 7.50 an hour to compensate the difference. That's 1 large big Mac combo per hour. In exchange, workers have more money which means higher morale and greater productivity - same logic behind paying 3rd shift higher wage than 1st shift. Now you have a store where potential income increase is nearly 50 dollars a week extra per worker - the added income will influence employee purchases which means it's entirely likely that the employees themselves will compensate a large amount of the difference.
Minimum wage will increase the cost of living - but shouldn't the opposite be just as true? Gas prices soar through the roof and no one gets paid to compensate? Tuition raises 700% and no one gets paid more? People are living 3 to a 1 bedroom apartment just to make rent, but wages don't increase?

I have absolutely no doubts fast food could easily replace 60% of workers with machines without breaking a sweat.
I'm aware of how basic economics work but there's another alternative: shipping jobs overseas to keep prices low. This could easily come with layoffs assuming factory work and the like were sent off to China. It would, in theory, keep prices lower while increasing minimum wage to $15. Layoffs would already happen so jumping to overseas work isn't exactly far off.
