Although platinum isn't that strong, Korra was still very weak from fighting and was completely outstretched and bound. She could only move her head, she wasn't really able to move or bend the chains. When she entered the avatar state she has the strength to rip the chains from the cave wall and break free, she didn't bend the first chains she broke free from.
Korra was still able to fight when in her shackles and Zaheer wouldn't stand to the side and let Korra get freed, so there was a large risk that didn't need to be taken in terms of breaking Korra's chains.
Lastly it is explained in Last airbender that the Avatar state is the culmination of the strength of every past avatar. Since Vaatu destroyed Raava and subsequently the Avatars connections to their past lives she didn't have the strength of a thousand avatars like she did before. She only had her own amplified strength (notice how when she talked it didn't sound like loads of people were talking) plus you know, she was poisoned.

Not true at all, while there are cases of girls getting pregnant at 8, 9, 10 it isnt common, but once the period starts id imagine most parents feel "if its old enough to bleed" so they take preventative measures so their daughter doesnt ruin her life. Not sure i would but i also believe in shotguns...if you catch my drift
User avatar #11 - Garblestickleshlop (08/01/2014) [-]
I don't understand these stupid parents that force their daughters to go on birth control. If your daughter is fucking at 11, you have failed as a parent and deserve her getting pregnant. How about parents actually watch their kids rather than rely on a birth control pill. There are much worse things that can happen than a pregnancy from unprotected sex. They could actually talk to their kid about safe sex and encourage masturbation as a safe alternative. I don't get how masturbation is seen as a bigger taboo than a kid having sex.
User avatar #30 - wotterpatch (08/01/2014) [-]
But kids aren't forced by parents to take birth control pills. It's usually perscribed by a doctor.

And if a kid is fucking at 11, it's not nescessarily the parents fault. If they're fucking under the parents nose, it's one thing, but by 11, kids tend to have at least some freedom.
User avatar #33 - Garblestickleshlop (08/01/2014) [-]
If a little girl or boy is having sex, there is something very very wrong. The only way I could see someone under 12 sleeping around not being the parents lack of supervision is is the kid was molested and is displaying sexual deviancy as a result. And at least where I live, parents are forcing their daughters onto birth control. You just tell the doctor you want birth control and get a quick evaluation. I know of several girls that were forced to as soon as they hit middle school. If they choose to disobey their parents orders, they get no freedom.
User avatar #34 - wotterpatch (08/01/2014) [-]
You're contradicting yourself

"They are under there parents control like they should be, they shouldn't be having sex!"

"Oh my god these parents are terrible people for forcing there daughters to take birth control!"
#14 - karrotj (08/01/2014) [-]
I disagree with this but apparently it is socially accepted now to be sexually active at age 10 or 11, i mean teen mom kinda threw that out the window. I even hear 8 year olds talking about having sex, our world has gone so far downhill

I've done almost exactly this with mineral oil. It was a 13 yo Compaq. As long as you keep the PSU out of the oil you are golden. Also, take off the fans they will just die. Depending on the GPU you may want to keep it out of the oil so that the original fan can cool it unless you have some way to move and cool the oil.

a) it's a joke well, it's true, but sounding like a dick was on purpose and not to be taken seriously.
b) the individual elements of web development are perhaps easy (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Java), but writing search engines, hacking video-conversion software, porting GIS conversion tools between languages, designing cross-platform cross-browser backwards-compatible responsive and performant sites/pieces of web software gives one insight on how to approach internet-related problems with confidence.

I happen to know, for instance, that while google takes into account the title and description given in the meta tags, the actual content plays a large role in search ranking. There is very little content on most pron sites, so the comments often help the ranking out. So I'm sure the top 100 search results all matched "fake taxi" in the title, and "pink hair" or even just "pink" would match people in the comments )"I'd love to cum in her pink hair") or if I got lucky it'd be in the title ("pink haired bitch gets fucked in fake taxi").

Next, private browsing is important, as my location and personal search history can influence results. Lastly, the release date is important. When searching for something quite common, we might want to advanced search for a certain time period. For instance: when I want to research the newest responsive design topics, I search for "responsive design patterns". However, I will likely get a lot of results from 2008-2010, as those pages have been viewed often and google gives them a higher rank due to credibility and multiple visits. But I've likely already read those sites and the information is no longer relevant. So - I have to search for results only in the last month or so.

Another handy trick is to search google like this: "sitename.com search terms". Google simply has the best search algorithm out there and can be loads better than individual search engines.

I hope that makes sense. Peace + love.
