Radical feminism is feminism you idiot. same as Liberal feminism and Marxist feminism. They all branch under the same name.
Applying evolution to societal functions is called anthropology. So yeah, it should be considered. I never once even used the 'evolution'. I used the term biology, which also explains PMT and the rise in murder rates when women experience it. But that's too one sided an analysis yeah?
I hope you're a troll, because if you really are a feminist you've made my entire gender look idiotic.

I might add that even Richard Dawkings ("the evolution guy") agrees that it would be retarded to base the norms and laws of society off of evolution.

And your argument of "it's called anthropology... so yes it should be considered" is just sad. It has a fancy name... therefore it's an intelligent practice? Genocide is kind of a fancy name too...

Radical feminism is feminism, but feminism is not radical feminism. In order not to insult all of feminism, it's important to state the difference.

What I mean when I say "applying evolution to societal ethics," is justifying unethical behavior by blaming it on biology (and while you didn't specifically say, "evolution", when you said that men are inclined to look at breasts, you are referring to an action reinforced by millions of years of evolution). I guess I could take your route and state "evolution is biology hurrr durrr" because it's apprently that simple. I understand that biology plays a part in peoples behaviors, but it should not be used as justification (meaning, "it's okay, because evolution"). If it were, society would fall apart.

Anyways, I'm not a feminist. I just don't like slander.

If I am truly an idiot, it would be unwise for anyone to associate my behavior with a range of people who share one thing in common with me.

If you really don't mind guys gawking at your tits (I realize now that you're female), may I inquire how trashy your background is, exactly?

Oh boy, sorry about the red thumbs. I deleted my comment already but somebody just commented the exact same again.

Eh, it can't be helped. To be fair, my comments were kind of asking for it. lol.
But I won't delete them, I'm foolishly reveling in the shitstorm.
And then when I'm done and bored with it I won't have the desire to argue with anons on the internet, ever again (hopefully).

I'd like to hear what you think feminism is. I post this here because otherwise we'd prolly both get red thumbs.

though I'd like to add, in some ways, men are in need of help as well. Men are often emotionally oppressed and it would be nice if there were a movement to support them against that.

But feminism is about helping women, specifically. Not because they hate men, just because... that's what the movement is. That's how it's defined.

If men had a "menism" or some other movement, anyone who bashed them or whatever would be a dickhead. Men have every right to a movement specifically for them, as well.

Oh we're already going to get thumbed to **** . At least, I will.
here's what I put in the comments about feminism:
Feminism IS about supporting gender equality. It's only called FEMINism because currently, women are the ones in need of help, not males. The feminists I've known have been intelligent people: they are very touchy, but only when they feel that a certain idea/whatever is harmful for women. They are only "oppressive" towards males when that male's behavior is oppressive towards women (so, it's a counterattack).

Basically, when you bash feminism, you bash the very people who are FOR gender equality.

Okay, I totally understand what you mean but here's my problem with this. You mentioned it being a "counterattack". Gender equality isn't about attacking or bashing the other gender. One gender can't do it on their own. Gender equality can only be created when both sides work together to create a balance instead of bashing each other for profit.
#5 to #4 - anomolous (04/06/2013) [-]
Yeah, that makes sense. But that's just a bad wording on my part. They aren't really oppressing anyone when they point out the oppressive behavior of males. Usually they do it pretty calmly, ie - "this is what you did... and this is why it oppresses women."

But anyways, it's beside the point. The most important thing to consider is what feminism is about. whether or not the concept is followed properly by its followers is up to the followers (similar to religion. can't blame Jesus for all the assholes who abuse Christianity)
and again, the women who attack all men aren't feminists.
User avatar #6 to #5 - revorce (04/06/2013) [-]
I agree with you on that. I'm glad we figured that argument out.
