For the same reasons the typical brony will give; it's well written, well voiced, with characters that are easy to relate to, and the message it sends is sent well enough to be appreciated by children and adults alike.

The reasons why I watch the show (part of my 'why I'm a brony' rant):
I'm a brony because the show makes me laugh in a world filled with shitty 'drama' shows and annoying ' "reality" tv'. I like the show because it is meant to convey morals that are becoming more and more lost as our collective conscience slowly merges together in a landscape that promotes dis-inhibition (the internet). I like the show because it took more imagination than '16 and pregnant' or the horribly staged 'Pawn Stars' (the only tv drivel I know of off the top of my head).
