That's the thing though. I'm not opening the door. The person inside is opening the door. They are free to kill themselves with the trap. Or they could just not open the door, at which point it is time to talk.

It's not that hard, the hardest part is just getting all your parts inside after opening the door.

Norse stories were written down in the 13th century. This is due to the runic writing system being pretty hard to compile books with (Just like the egyptians, their system took up a lot of space because it had to be carved into things), and the Norse generally not giving a shit about recording things. It's pretty unfortunate. It's impossible to know a lot of questions that beg to be answered, and we can't really say when the Norse stories originated, or if the Christian scribes who wrote it all down changed it to fit their ideals. I'll redact that point.

I still believe conversion to be brain washing. Even if you have a good, non-preach to the unbelievers, honest fellowship. People still see propaganda all over the place. Westboro, church signs, the crazy homeless dude on the street corner, and then in movies and TV. In the US, it's the dominant religion, so to put it in media helps it relate to the majority, but it is still a subtle jab at the minority (Atheist or of a different religion). My question to you, though, is that it seems you believe people of other beliefs can go to heaven. Am I reading that right?

"Jesus and the lost Goddess" is a book you should read. I myself am only about a quarter of the way through currently, and am not an expert on Christianity. The guys who wrote it are actually historical/religious scholars, and it's a gripping account and alternative perception of many "literal" stories.

this was in a video just as a question to religious people, since he has been told so many times that the christian god is loving and perfect. Basically, if this god is so loving and perfect, why is he burning people, good people, for just not believing in him?
additionally, if this is the case, what does that mean for you guys, or the muslims, or whoever is right? will that group be fine with paradise while the others burn forever?

Conversion is brain washing. I want you to research the number of times the bible has been revised. The most noteworthy aspect is the goddess appearing in early versions of the old testament being entirely written out. Also, there is no hell in Judaism, the origin of Christianity. Christians simply stole aspect from other religions (Hel being the name of the goddess of the underworld seems familiar.) to either make people more comfortable in their new habitat, or to make people too afraid to not follow it. It's the most effective form of mass control and money grabbing in history. And you people blame the jews.

Sorry for the long post.
"Conversion is brain washing."
Not usually Yes there are insane people out there and I won't deny it. . All pastors that I know personally have advocated for the method of living as good and pleasant a life as possible while making faith known to those around you and waiting for questions. Battering an unbeliever with fire and brimstone sermons on the street will only make them extremely mad. Kindness and waiting for a person to be curious (or prompted by the Holy Spirit of you asked one of us) is the best way. I know people who have been brainwashed by heretical sects of Christianity and had to be re-rehabilitated. After escaping they came to my previous church of their own free will.
"I want you to research the number of times the bible has been revised."
Yes I am familiar with the Nicean Council. It's important to codify what your original members thought after they are dead. Some manuscripts will not make the cut since there was a lot of very nasty heresy back then.
"The most noteworthy aspect is the goddess appearing in early versions of the old testament being entirely written out."
I am not familiar with this. Educate me sir.
"Also, there is no hell in Judaism, the origin of Christianity."
There is a so much argument about this. "Sheol" and "Gehenna" are often though to be some kind of Hell. Not all Jews agree about this point.
"Christians simply stole aspect from other religions..."
Norse sagas mentioning Hel goddess of Niflheim are predated by Christianity. She is from the 9th century onward and gets no large amount of coverage until the 13th century. This seams to point to her name being copied off of Christian ideas rather than the other way around.
"It's the most effective form of mass control and money grabbing in history."
I would tend to say that banks are the best way but organized religion is pretty good too. Not going to deny it. I mean really that's the reason why Protestants exist, some people got mad about the Pope sticking greedy little fingers in everyone's pie. I'm just glad to see that the current pope is better about that even if I'm not Catholic.
"And you people blame the Jews."
Haters gonna hate. People are really going to hate the little group of desert wanderers and hill-folk who are somehow impossible to exterminate and have success in almost everything that they do because of their immense self confidence. I've never met a Jew with a self esteem problem.

I have no good image for this so have a Throne Angel.

I brought so many fake guns and swords for costumes. Never had a problem with anyone. Didn't even do anything about my violin case that went with my Mafia outfit.

After a year at college I went back to see what was going on. My attempts to scare people with a plague doctor style gas mask were completely useless when everyone knew exactly who I was since no one else in my school would take the time to dress up in anything complex.
