All right, so to get back to your previous reply; not calling it feminism anymore has nothing to do with past efforts, because it's not even the same thing. You're comparing the likes of women not being able to vote and being treated as second-class citizens with what we have today. Today, we're trying to balance the scale for both sexes, while in the past, it was an effort to make women respected citizens. Feminism in the general part of the world that I believe the two of us live in, is an outdated term that doesn't represent the current issue.

Women being the only group out of two to believe they should be equal to men, is also a very outdated statement, and isn't even true, as there have been loads and loads of men throughout history that have wished and fought for equality between the sexes.

With that last sentence, do you mean that you believe femininity is better than masculinity, or that both are equally good?
#387 - analtrauma (03/02/2015) [-]
In my humble opinion a feminine outlook on life is more stable, reliable, and less aggressive than the stereotypical masculine outlook. I'd rather talk than throw a punch. And that sentiment is exactly what feminism is. Patriarchal archetypes would rather destroy their opponent without question. A feminine archetype would rather not fight and try to learn from all sides.

Well, for one, theres is absolutely no point anymore in calling it feminism. Having a bias in the very name is already bullshit. Secondly, what you're proposing is far from true for all feminist organizations and groups. I don't have figures, but I'm willing to bet that over half of them ignore male issues for the most part, and mainly focus on "unequal treatment of women", such as talking about the wage gap myth and being taken more seriously in the workplace and so forth. It's actually relatively rare to see a feminist group stand up for men in courts, in regards to rape allegations or custody battles.

Some feminists have been smart enough to change the names of their groups to "equalists" or whatever, and with that switched focus to defend both sexes equally.

Don't think it's "single lonely angry men" that perpetuate any kind of stereotype about feminism. It's the radical feminazis, and the "I don't hate men, but they definitely have all the advantages in society, so they don't need any help" mentality that perpetuates the hate for feminism.

I appreciate your opinions despite me not really agreeing with you. You're giving me a lot of propaganda but I will say this. By not calling it feminism we are doing a disservice to all the women who have ever lived that fought for gender equality. Women have really been the only group to point out that a single gender controlling society isn't a good idea. Almost all history, mores and folkways has been established by men which led us to believe masculinity is better than femininity. I personally think the other way around is true but a more equal, balanced approach is needed.

You said you'd rain the facts down... so where are they? theasguard is the only one who has presented any sources. You seem to be under the impression that you can swear and insult people and thereby be correct. The fact of the matter is any claim you make in a debate needs to be backed up with evidence. Or, at the very least, you need to admit you don't know. You've done neither.

clearly you care because you replied, as for discussing anything with you, the simple fact that your response is just a childish hissy fit retort to my comment shows that you are not capable of a real discussion.
btw you used troglodyte wrong you fuckmonkey.
I am not a cave person, nor am I deliberately being ignorant/reclusive. If you're going to insult someone, know what the fucking words you are using means.

www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/11/25/us/evidence-released-in-michael-brown-case.html?_r=1

Here is a link to the evidence presented to the grand jury. If you would kindly read through it you will notice during the autopsy that they found a wound to Brown's hand with gun powder in his flesh which only happens when shot from inches away. There is also blood/flesh from Brown in the vehicle, which collaborates with the story of a struggle for the gun and it being fired in the vehicle. Also the autopsy states that the wounds to his head are constant with someone who was looking down and face parallel to the ground, like someone would be while charging at someone.

Now I would like to see some facts stating your story is correct from an unbiased source please.

7 hours since he was called out analtrauma has yet to respond to the actual evidence found. Could it be his opinion is changing?! Could he be realising now that this isnt about race but actually a dude attacking a cop after robbing a convenience store?! WILL HE DISPUTE THE EVIDENCE?!

Probably. The White man is evil i tells you. I'm gonna stay up here where its too cold for the blacks.
