Will you truly be pleased with yourself having destroyed a tether that makes us human? To me, it's a crime against humanity. Sure, go ahead and do so, but will you REALLY feel like a man? You can only fool yourself so far before you come to realize that you are a woman. I'm sorry you wish to do this to yourself, I can only hope that you decide against it before you actually do it. Listen, you're throwing away something that you'll never be able to recover. You're not a man, you're a woman and I bet if you stopped telling yourself you're a man, you'd find that you don't have it bad. What will you tell the lucky lady that you fall in love with? Will you tell her outright? Personally, I think that action in itself is selfish. What you're doing sounds horribly wrong, and I apologize if I'm coming of as a prick. I am born a man and will forever be a man, I know what it is to be a man. Do you? While you're free to do it, I would highly suggest against it.

What makes us human is how we are inside and our souls, gender is just a label put on us. I will REALLY feel like a man, I can assure you. I don't need a dick for that either.. it's all about being yourself and for me I just need to reach a little farther to get to. I won't always be a woman, maybe by nature yeah.. but not in the way that it matters, at least for me. I've tried to think my way out of this, but it's not that easy. I've spent 18 years of my life as a woman and I'm absolutely done. It's the worst thing that's ever happened to me and I refuse to deal with it any longer. I do know what it's like to be a man, yes.. and it's truly what I want in this world. My mind is already there, I'm just slowly catching my body up. You're not coming off necessarily as a prick.. just.. misinformed.. or that this is all foreign and that you don't realize how crucial it is to someones life to be happy. Sometimes people need to work to achieve their happiness.
#609 - redbannerman (02/11/2014) [-]
I know I won't change your mind, but I still don't think you'll be happy with the change. Go ahead and do it, but know that you WERE born as a woman.

User avatar #639 - anahbell (02/11/2014) [-]
Sure, It's fine. Well, basically what I decide for in my life is to get top surgery. I mean, my boobs aren't all that big now and I don't necessarily even need a bra so I'm sort of lucky. But, they're still there and I'd like to be able to take off my shirt without people freaking out cause oh god there's tissue beneath my skin. As for bottom surgery, I'm not getting that. I know, you're probably thinking.. "Then why even transition anyway?" basically for me.. it's not about having a dick. That's not what being a 'man' is about. It's about how you portray yourself and how nicely you treat women. Also, I don't ever feel the need to take my pants off when in relationship. Not all girls want dick in their vagina anyway and I can please my partner just as easily without a dick as I could with one. Besides, it's costly and the surgery is rather barbaric and I find it not something that I'd be interested in. I'm also going to take testosterone so my voice will lower and I may be able to get a little facial hair. Not only that but it will help with muscle tone and fat redistribution. (I honestly don't like that all my fat went to my hips, so this is a great idea for me). I'm not overweight really, I weigh 132 and I'm 5'4.. yeah I'll be a short dude, but oh well. Also, taking testosterone can make you grow an extra inch and working out while taking it is extremely beneficial to your transition. I just want to appear as male mostly, I'm not a very sexual kind of person to begin with so having a dick isn't a major thing. One thing I WILL change down there is I'm having a hysterectomy to remove any chance of having a menstrual cycle again. (It is literally the source of all of my depression at this point. I have literally contemplated suicide because of it. It's that bad, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy)

TL;DR : I'm cutting my boobs off but not getting a dick.
#663 - ExorArgus (02/11/2014) [-]
Ok ive read your comments and im unsure of why you feel the need to chop your tits off. So you say that you want to get a hysterectomy because it is the main source of your depression. Why not just do that then see how you feel? No reason to start serious procedures like that if they aren't necessary. Also you say you feel disgust for your body, why? You are going to have the same body just with less tits and a bit harrier. You don't seem to be doing this for sexual reasons. You say you want to feel like a man but what is wrong with being a woman? and when you say "That's not what being a 'man' is about. It's about how you portray yourself and how nicely you treat women." Does this mean you the whole reason you are doing the genderbender is so that you can date straight women and not have sex?
User avatar #669 - anahbell (02/11/2014) [-]
Well, I never actually said that boobs WEREN'T a part of my depression either. They are.. big part too. I don't feel disgust really, just uncomfortableness. I'm literally trapped in this body and I want out. Not even the body itself really just the gender, if I could flip a switch.. then I'd be happy as can be. My mind is male but my gender isn't and I want to even it out, simple as that. I'm mostly doing this for my own benefit, if sex came into the picture then so be it.. and I'm not just going to go and search for straight women. Most straight women want dicks, so I'd be lacking in that department. But, there are women out there that specifically date transguys and then I fit the bill perfectly.

I think your best option is to release your gender (because as you said its your mind and soul that matter most) and say fuck you to whoever disagrees, and when you do find someone (you seem patient) you will have a much fuller better relationship. Where as your current path as an over reaction to natural hormones, which taking additional hormones would only escalate the problem.
User avatar #688 - anahbell (02/11/2014) [-]
I can't just do that. Trust me, I've tried. Thinking my way out of it isn't an option.. I've spent years trying to do just that. Really I don't even care about a relationship, I'm doing this for me and I'm going to be happy.

No, by all means, change your body however you want. I just want them to know that they're disgusting for doing so and they'll never be the gender they WANT to be. The best they can do is be the same gender but fucked up to all hell. So, they should be in disgust of what they TURNED their bodies into.
#675 - huntersdman (02/11/2014) [-]
Its not like a person just decides they want to be another gender, like shiny said neuroscience is very complex. If a biological male wants to be considered female that's okay, it doesn't hurt anyone and like anahbell said not every trans person wants to change the "equipment" they have, its the psychological aspect. What if people continually called you female even though you knew you were male? It would cause a lot of discomfort. Please try to show a little compassion dude, you don't have to be gung-ho for it but don't make others feels bad for how they were born.
User avatar #567 - anahbell (02/11/2014) [-]
But you're not getting this.. They WILL be the gender they want to be. It's not about changing genetics or anything and really it's not fucked up to all hell. (I won't lie, alot of surgeries don't go 100%) but it's always going to be step up. And it's not a bad thing either.. they're not there to please anyone else.. they're doing what they do so that they're happy and can finally go out of the house and not feel stuck in that cage anymore.

I'm already putting money aside from my paychecks so that I can get top surgery (I'm Female to Male). It's going to be the best day of my life because I won't have to worry about gender dysphoria ever again and most importantly.. I'll be happy.

Why would someone be deteriorating inside because of their gender alignment?

Is it really that depressing not having a penis? (or vice versa)
User avatar #585 - anahbell (02/11/2014) [-]
Surprisingly, yes.. I wouldn't expect someone who isn't trans to understand it themselves, but I'll try to explain it the best I can.

It's like, it's a constant reminder whenever you look down.. that you'll never be happy, never be comfortable, and never be able to have a relationship with someone and be satisfied. It's a grim reminder that you'll never be happy basically until you do something about it, and WHY it had to be 'gender' I don't even know.. but it's like depression of it's own category. You know that getting surgery won't fix it all, it never will.. just like you said. You'll always BE the gender you were assigned at birth but surgery is the closest we'll ever get and I'm sure as hell going to take it. I can't live like this, it's killing me. People actually do commit suicide because of things like this, and it just.. it sucks man.

Okay Jake, I can see your point in you, on some mental and/or spiritual level, try seeing this from another perspective, a pharmacist perspective as an example.

Your chromosomes are basically zip files, containing millions upon millions bit worth of data in nucleic acids, that creates thousands upon thousands of proteins, peptides etc. These are basically the stuff, all these things are what builds your body up, and makes sure the right signals comes to the right parts of the bodies. This is a very very complex system, also with shit loads of specific data. What pills do, is they can go in and produce, or remove specific signals. So that they either stop, or work as a catalyst in specific processes. Even though the process in the body are mostly identical, No bodies are precisely identical on the quantity, this is why there are many medications with sometimes hazardous side effects, so pharmacists must make them as safe as they can, with the absolute minimum intake, so that everyone can take them without immediate death.

Now, I know this sounds harsh, but no matter what kind of gender you prefer, or feel like you are. Your body will not, and do not give a single fuck about what you think of yourself, what kind of Hindu-Buddhist bullshit you have been reading, not even about your sexual preferences unless it regards a hard on, or morning moist on your front lawn. Your body is, in the real world, biologically, what you always were, and always will be. No engineered magic meat pipe is gonna change that.

Life sucks, and then you die.

But hey, good news is if you wanna talk, act, and fuck bitches. You can do that dude!
Just don't call yourself Jake, Tyler is a better name.
User avatar #831 - anahbell (02/12/2014) [-]
I will do whatever it takes to be happy, I don't care if I die in the process.. I want to be free. Either freedom from my cage or freedom from this world, I'm gone. I've waited years and years for the moment that I get in 3 days from now, I'll be 18 finally and I'm going to take control of my life.. whether it means killing myself in the process or not.
User avatar #837 - whitenerdy (02/13/2014) [-]
Actually, I was just using the pharmacist perspective to drag you into the perspective of you own biological being. I doubt you will die in the future unless you take very heavy drugs. The fascinating thing is that you make your own cage, what you perceive as wither it is man, woman, both or nothing is just your own 'software' going haywire with false information. I think Fightclub (1999) said it best.

You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your fucking khakis. You're not a beautiful and unique snowflake, you the same decaying organic matter as everything else.

Having a penis or not, in your situation, since you can't procreate, is where you're peeing from. You make it matter with fucktarded spiritualism and magic faerie-tale friends that hugs you tight in your little wasted, and limited imagination. You're a waste product, perfectly healthy hardware with garbage software.

In a way, I feel sorry for you. Who knows, maybe if you had your head out of your ass you could have done something with your life, found a cure to HIV, AIDS or cancer. Saved millions of lives. But no, using all your energy on the deception wither or not its important to have a penis or not matter took too much energy, the only thing I can hope is that you will continue to live deep inside this deception, and try to contribute SOMETHING to society before you kick the bucket, because somewhere you know that you're just placing blame on your body, ignoring the real problem.

User avatar #838 - anahbell (02/13/2014) [-]

It's a grim reminder that you'll never be happy basically until you do something about it, and WHY it had to be 'gender' I don't even know.. but it's like depression of it's own category. You know that getting surgery won't fix it all, it never will.. just like you said. You'll always BE the gender you were assigned at birth but surgery is the closest we'll ever get and I'm sure as hell going to take it. I can't live like this, it's killing me. People actually do commit suicide because of things like this, and it just.. it sucks man.
User avatar #768 - admiralen (02/11/2014) [-]
im really sorry man, but youre projecting all your issues onto this one thing, gender isnt important. this is a thing a lot of people do, like feminists who think that everything that goes wrong in their life is because people look down on women, or fat people who think all their problems come from being fat. im not saying dont change, but dont expect to much, you will be let down
User avatar #809 - anahbell (02/11/2014) [-]
You don't understand it though, you're not in my place.. it's VERY important, to me at least and I'm absolutely done explaining it to people because theres no way that they'll ever understand how much I need this.
User avatar #811 - admiralen (02/11/2014) [-]
you might think you do, but you dont know if things will really change when you do
User avatar #812 - anahbell (02/11/2014) [-]
Of course not, no one knows for sure what the future will hold or if what they do will change anything for sure.. but I know that it's only up from here.
User avatar #813 - admiralen (02/11/2014) [-]
i really hope it works out for you, but im just saying dont expect to much

TL: DR then, if you're so confident about it.
User avatar #266 - anahbell (02/11/2014) [-]
Or you could just deal with it and actually read it. But, oh well. Here you go:

TL;DR: The school could have solved the problem simpler by sitting the kid down before suspending them and talking out options.. and the kid could have taken advantage of the grand opportunity of getting your own fucken bathroom. If I was the kid I would have invited people to vandalize it, it only proved more to be mine then and I would have been perfectly happy.

So, how's the story going?
User avatar #44 to #43 - anahbell (01/05/2014) [-]
Well. It may be a while on the progress. I had a problem with my flashdrive in which I kept all my progress. Long story short. It corrupted. So, I may have to start over.. OR I'll have to search high and low for my backups that I cannot find anywhere at this given moment.

I'm pretty pissed to say the least
User avatar #45 to #44 - greedtheavaricious (01/05/2014) [-]
Well that sucks balls. I wish you luck.

I'll be honest. While I'm still interested in your story, I've also been messaging you for some writing advice. You up for it?
User avatar #46 to #45 - anahbell (01/05/2014) [-]
Sure, at this point I'm taking anything from anyone because this flash drive problem really screwed me up.

Well, since the Witch from L4D really interests me I know, I'm a ******* pleb for getting it for free I started to write about here. Nothing I'm really planning to show to the world, more to practise for longer stories. Also, since english isn't my first language, it is even harder for me. It basically goes like that:

Plane taking off. Dude is happy they managed to get on board. Other dude not so happy, realizing they will be in deep **** for the rest of their lives. Small argument, plane explodes. Plane crashes.

Then my main char appears in the story. His entire body hurts and he can barely breathe. He's leaning against a rocky wall. It was midnight, and then moon shining bright. He saw the plane wreck several meters away from him, leading him to the conclusion someone must have saved him. It was then he hears someone crying. Turning his head to the side he could spot a female looking figure, slumped down to her knees, crying. Since his entire body is extremely hurting and he was so short on breath the head turn exhausted him so much he lost consciousness, again.

There's more, but I keep rewriting what comes after that since I can't come up with something good enough.

I personally think it isn't very good... but let's hear what you have to say since you have more experience with writing.
