I can understand that, but surely decreasing the chances is worth it? Even one or two less shootings must be worth it.

It's absolutely worth it. Which is why I propose we make automobiles illegal. Because, isn't it worth it if it maybe saves just a few more lives?

although my main point isn't that they 'shouldn't ban guns' it's again kind of like my original analogy of putting a band aid on a festering wound, yeah the band aid might stop the bleeding but you can't just put it on and leave it at that, eventually you're going to have to deal with the infection in some way and it's better not to put it off longer than necessary.

IMO yeah since I don't own any guns it would be cool with me but on the other hand I don't really like the idea of not being ABLE to own my gun for a variety of reasons.

Yeah, but surely if it wasn't as easy, people would have less chance to do it? If it is difficult enough to make then struggle and actually think about it, they must be less likely to do it?

you could make a garagegun knockoff of an Mac-10 with google, scrap metal and some easy to get tools. plus almost all shootings happen in places where 1) guns are not allowed inside 2) states where guns are illegal in general
#18 - amuzen (09/11/2014) [-]
honestly the real challenge is coming to grips with the idea of wanting to throw your life away with a bang, it's just about as hard for a highschooler to get their hands on a gun as it is for them to figure out how to make pipe bombs or some sort of poisonous gas over the internet.

#16 - amuzen (09/11/2014) [-]
if you give a hungry man a fishing rod how much less likely do you think he will be in our modern world to die of starvation? Probably not much since he can probably find some other way to get food, same goes for guns.

it was pretty retarded though, he was made up to be supersecretive and stealthy.
yet he brokers peace between walter and two random drog dealers of the street like their fucking mother
#9 - 4chan refugee (09/11/2014) [-]
I don't really think Gus was mad that Walter had killed them, I think Gus was mad that Walter took matters into his own hands. Gus likely had some well made plans to make them disappear discretely. But then Walt just runs them over with his car, in a public area that possibly had witnesses. If the cops had found enough evidence to convict, you better believe he would lead back to Gus.

Case and point: When Gus slits his right hand man's throat after he was seen at a Gale's crime scene. To me, I think so long as you fly under the radar and did as you were told, Gus was super forgiving. But the second you turned into a risk, then he no longer had a use for you.

But how do you lock your keys in your car? You require them to lock the car, unless she lost the keys?
Excuse me, I have aspergers.
#32 - amuzen (09/11/2014) [-]
electrical locks once the key dies (about 4-6 years after you've bought the car) you press the lock button manually on the inside of the door before closing it which could easily result in you locking in your keys.

Alternatively she could have lost her keys at some other point and since her child is in the car probably dieing of heat stroke at this point she doesn't have time to go back and trace all of her steps until she finds the keys.

Or her purse could have been stolen

Three scenarios I've seen before, most more than once.
User avatar #29 - konradkurze (09/11/2014) [-]
in old cars you could just push the buttons on the door down and close the door while holding the handle up.....

normally closing locked doors would pop the lock button back up but holding the handle out in the open position negates that

still retarded people leave keys inside the car when they lock up

She was my biology teacher sophomore year. she looked kinda like a dried leather bag with a blonde wig thrown on top and she was super old-she retired by our junior year. When our class was first introduced to her most of kinda chuckled but she played dumb and acted like we were laughing at something else.

I had like, a 100 different teachers throughout my highschool career since I moved to 6 different highschools for it so it's not really all that strange I would run into at least a couple of teachers with weird names. I also had a black class mate named something jigger and one of my teachers liked to call everyone by their last name and he was cracking up at something and she said 'jigger, please' and everyone freaked the fuck out and she didn't realize what was going on. That parts not really relevant just a funny even this made me remember.

Oh I'm sorry please tell me about how you live in the wartorn area where the majority of them are bad ones that gun people down for no reason.

You can start hating an entire religion when you are physically attacked by it daily rather than once over a fucking decade ago.

You obviously live in the First World and here those of this religion need if not support than at least indifference as they see their own beliefs used to justify slaughter.

They do not need cock-monglers like you yelling at them for shit they can't control while all they want to do is try to be close to their god to find some semblance of peace.
#184 - blakeserene (09/08/2014) [-]
Except when their God and religious beliefs have been the reason they've been at war since written history existed. So yeah...to get a semblance of peace...while soaked in blood...Christianity had it's time for that (Crusades) but after just a hundred years they figured out war and God shouldn't mix. After 2000 some odd years, they're still going in the middle east, still fighting over the same shit they were then. They don't want peace, they want to kill.
