well I feel like diet soda is almost worse than regular soda, because of the artificial sweeteners and lower PH, so I just drink water if I am concerned

I do, now, actually drink more water than diet soda, and I don't actually eat out any more because it's so nasty now that I've spent a long time away from it. But when I first changed my lifestyle I would fit it into my macros. Also, diet soda is worse than regular soda, the chemicals to replace the sugar will mess with your brain, and you are usually better off with regular soda if that's the only other choice, but most beginner "dieters" don't' realize that, they just see 'no calories' and rejoice. The same with "low fat" and "no fat" options.

NOTE: The reason I say "dieters" is because a diet will not last, it has to be a lifestyle change.

(Since you answered and weren't rude I feel kinda bad for being snarky have some thumbs)
