| Since when do pigeons peck out eyes? Ravens? Maybe. Seagulls? Definitely. But pigeons don't really go for assault. They're too lazy. The birds are Täubchen in the German version. That translates to dove or pigeon depending on who you ask. I personally think of it as pigeon most of the time, depending upon the bird you are describing. In this case, i think dove might be the better translation. | ||

anon (07/21/2015) [-] Lol I'm beginning to wonder if right wingers actually know in real life of the type of people they describe or if these are just hate filled fantasies they've created in their mind. I know some, been harassed by others. Most of my initial dislike for them actually came from the awareness campaigns about their lives that my high school ran. Every week it was a different group advocating for us to donate our time and money to another charity. After 3-4 months of every 2-3 days being told you are a bad person if you don't donate to yet another event, you start to get aggravated. Then you start to go over the economics of the nation and it becomes obvious that either the spending has to be brought down or the taxes have to go up (or a bit of both). The places where our country makes money and has a VERY large employment directly linked to is military research spending. if you decrease that, a large number of jobs get cut from the nation (that is detrimental to the economy). Also without that spending a vast number of modern technology doesn't exist. So where do you cut the budget? The next biggest chunk is on the social programs spending, which have very little money coming into them. Economically, if you are on those programs, then you should be of the mindset that you should get out of them as soon as possible to pay back the nation for what you took from it (thus balancing out the loses from the program). However they are normally seen as the responsibility of the nation to gift the 'underprivileged' with these programs and support them for life. Ideally i feel if we raise taxes slightly (1-3%) and cut the social programs budgets back 50%. With the surplus budget that you would then have, put that into elementary (k-12) schooling and into science research. Perhaps then we can get the nation's average knowledge level up enough that religion starts to die down, and those spaces can be turned into something more useful. #560 -

| If these programs are to continue to exist, i think that everyone on them should know exactly how these things are financed and how much of a yearly burden they are on the economy They don't have the education to advance society in a way, and they aren't in a job to sustain it either, so then...what ARE they doing with their lives? Producing more children then they can sustain in their household, causing more to go into gang violence causing a greater burden upon society and raising the number of those who believe that they don't need to work hard or get an education to live, they just need to ask the government to pay for everything. #546 -

| The maintenance per day of those is less than you pay for food per day. That is nothing. There is a SIGNIFICANT portion of money to be taken out of medicare, medicaid, social security, food stamps...that comes to several billion right there. If these programs are to continue to exist, i think that everyone on them should know exactly how these things are financed and how much of a yearly burden they are on the economy They don't have the education to advance society in a way, and they aren't in a job to sustain it either, so then...what ARE they doing with their lives? Otherwise, you expose yourself to the nightmare of false self-incrimination." www.psychologytoday.com/blog/the-human-beast/201303/do-lie-detectors-work They. Do. Not. Work. Ever. They have been completely discredited it by science. They are completely inadmissible to court. They are ONLY used for intimidation. They are usually WRONG. | You do realize that the Germanic tribes through the fall of west-rome managed to drive out native populations in Gaul , Britannia , Northern Italy , Iberia and the Northern Balkans , and replace them with their own , right? the Goths replaced the Illyrian croats and native Spaniards the Franks replaced the Gauls the Saxons replaced the Bretons the Lombards replaced the Italians (in today's : you guessed it - lombardy) The majority of Europeans in the world today , are Germanic , there's no way around it. The #2 most spread Europeans are Slavs thanks to the Russian Empire and altaic genocides. #3 would be the Celts , thanks to the Irish exodus to America. If you're not one of these 3 types of European , frankly you're a minority bound to die out and get replaced one day. i am well aware that the Germanic tribes, after the Fall, expanded out quite vastly, using the remnants of one of the greatest empires ever to exist as a stepping stone. I am just saying the reason for the geographical naming that is used in English (Deutschland ist ein weit besserer Name als "Germany"), is because of the naming of the region in Latin. So the region of Germany, being known as such, has existed for about 3000 years. We don't know much about Germany before the founding of Rome for the Germanic tribes didn't keep strong records like modern Germany or Ancient Rome did. I am not an expert on the Dark Ages, my specialty is in Early Empire Rome, around when Köln was founded as a Roman Colony. I'm just saying , still calling us Germany after so many years is pretty fucking retarded. It's like continuously calling Russia - Muscovy. Look at Japan , Japan was so nice and stopped calling us Germany (which they picked up from the Portuguese) and these days calls us Doitsu (say it out loud) and if Japan can do it , the britbongs can too , so can the fags who speak latin-based languages. | ||

killerblead (07/16/2015) [-] Well the first one for example. Does it mean they have the wrong number of players on/during defence? So these are all logical Fallacies. They don't have anything to do with the sport of Football itself. It is just paying off the fact that in logical debates it would be nice to have a ref who stops the debate and calls out fallacies when they occur. The Equivication Fallacy is when you use a word with multiple meanings and not clarifying which meaning you are using and then later using that misunderstanding by the opposing debater to defeat him. #10 -
