I love comic con, it's much more easy going than a lot of the other cons (which is kind of frightening to say).

anyways the point is just that there will always be cringe at every convention but it can

User avatar #140 - alfrebecht (06/20/2014) [-]
I suppose,

I've been to the big cons for each culture though, and I can say the only one that was particularly worse than the others cringe-wise was Bronycon (To be fair, I was dragged along, so I may have been biased). PAX and E3 had the biggest gender imbalance (though the number of quality female cosplays is higher than normal), and anime cons tended to have the most high quality cosplaying per capita (not that they don't have their fair share of awful cosplay as well).

Otakon, Anime Boston, Anime Expo....

There are a lot of well known anime conventions, unless you don't associate with the culture, same as video gaming.

You say "PAX" to someone who doesn't care about video game culture and they'll have no idea what you're talking about.

That's what I'm saying. The reason the con attendance is so high is because of the popularity. Anime <is> a pop culture at the moment.

I suppose so, man.

I work at the National Wine Centre part-time during studies, which is apparently high-end dining. All I know is I have to smile alot, stand up straight, and act in an extremely elegant manner. Get paid damn good for it. $28 an hour. Guess cause i'm on the books as "casual" or "call-in" "relief" or whatever.

From reading all this, i'm damn lucky to be in Australia
