the anime has covered about 8 chapters. it's good that all that dialogue and inner monologue can be dealt faster with anime

I was obviously exaggerating, I just feel like not much moves forward in the episode.

next episode is called "I can hear a heart beat" if I remember correctly, meaning that it probably ends in the part where eren pops out of his titan and mikasa hugs him, the episode after that will probably end in eren finally lifting up the rock, after being in that weird dream state for some time, that or when he plugs the wall.

The manga is pretty slow paced to be honest, so I wouldn't blame the anime since it just can't skip over all of the important stuff.
