When I saw it on my local news, I thought, "Huh, must be a slow news day". Now it's a whole uproar.
#62 - anonymous (01/26/2013) [-]
Actually, I work at Subway, and since that news went out I've had to measure our bread for customers /daily/. It's because those stores don't know how to proof bread, whereas most stores follow Subway protocol.

its kind of sad really. i was watching and the only thing of any importance on was the propossed gun ban in california. one inch short on a samwich and a football player that raised money for cancer to help a girl he never actually talked to. the gun ban we mocked. they were going on and on about assault rifles when we noticed a shotgun on the wall she was using as a display. i can imagine us being int their

That's what I'm doing with this band symbol.
User avatar #422 - thecharliesheen (01/26/2013) [-]
Why would you get the Coheed and Cambria symbol if you don't like the band?
User avatar #443 - trimageryan (01/27/2013) [-]
...My name is TriMageRyan and I want to get the Keywork tattooed on me. What implied that I didn't like the band?
User avatar #462 - thecharliesheen (01/27/2013) [-]
Well, the guy above you said "I want the symbol of the band tattooed, just not the name of the band." making me assume that he purely liked the symbol, instead of the band itself. Then you said "That's what I'm doing with this band symbol", making me assume that you as well only liked the symbol, seeing as it is a pretty decent symbol.
User avatar #463 - trimageryan (01/27/2013) [-]
Not at all, the person above me was implying that it would look better without the name attached to his photo.

As you can see, I'm a very avid fan of Coheed & Cambria (Both for the music and for the Amory Wars)
User avatar #466 - thecharliesheen (01/27/2013) [-]
Saw them at Warped tour a few years back, and I believe Claudio was playing his 12 string. It was pretty sweet.
User avatar #467 - trimageryan (01/27/2013) [-]
Ah yes, Claudio loves his flair haha
Especially when playing the solo to Welcome Home with his teeth

I saw them for the last two years they were in Dallas and I can't wait until they come back in may.
User avatar #472 - thecharliesheen (01/29/2013) [-]
I think it was either "Welcome home" or maybe "the suffering" that was the first song I've ever heard from them. I didn't recognize them at first, but after a few times, I went "hey, that voice sounds kinda familiar...".
User avatar #473 - trimageryan (01/29/2013) [-]
Mine was actually "The Running Free" and I thought that the guy singing must be a tiny guy but then I saw the video for "Devil in Jersey City" and though "Wow....He's a large man....and that's a damn cool haircut!"

After hearing those I got hooked, then I found out about the comics and there was no coming back.
User avatar #474 - thecharliesheen (01/29/2013) [-]
That was my exact thought after hearing "welcome home". I pictured a scrawny red head dude yellin' into the microphone, and so I looked up the video and BAM! Cladio. I was pretty amazed.
I got into them after I ended up buying a CD in passing, and would listen to it from time to time. After a while, I kinda realized how much I liked them.

I just wanted to make sure, because while I still enjoy the old school, I prefer old metal, and didn't want to be ripped apart for commenting about a metalcore band that apparently "isn't metal".

The man's right. Happens to me too, I'm colorblind and when I was little I used to paint people green. It's not like I see "traffic lights blue" or any stuff like that, that is, as long as my eyes and brain can tell the difference between two colors I can name them alright. But, as akindappedduck (fuck your name that was hard to write) said, it's common for colorblind people to be unable to distinguish shades of a same color.
For instance, the different colors you call purple, cyan, blue, magenta, etc. might ALL look "blue" to me (hell, I can't even mentally picture what those terms REALLY mean since I haven't experienced it).

#88 - akidnappedduck (01/18/2013) [-]
I see what I assume everyone else sees, but with slight variation. For instance, I have no idea what the color purple looks like. I think purple and any shade like that is all blue. It's really shades of colors I mix up, like red/orange when they're close, green/brown when they're close, and stuff like that. I don't not see colors, I just mix them up sometimes.
