Well I've only heard of, what, three metal Japanese bands.
Pig*star, star*ish, yuya mastushita, Kanon Wakeshima, Field of View, Akeboshi, GirlsDeadMonster, Paradise Lunch, ALvino, L'arc en Ciel, Asian Kung Fu Generation, Little by Little, Diggy mo, Daisuke Ono, Masaaki Endoh, Crystal Kay, On/Off, Utada, CNBlue, Yui, SID, Gackt, Gazette, Nittle Grasper, Bad Luck, Hiro Takahashi- none of those are Metal or screamo. They're of many different genres. Heck, even D who does have metal songs has some subdued ones like Snow White and Alice's Adventures in Darkness.

It must be way more recognized in Alberta; coaches are approved through the school, and most teams have 3-4 practices a week plus"open gym", which is just practice with your stunt group. I've never had to perform at a game

The point of gymnastics is to perform as a team

Could you be anymore outdated?

Cheer-leading is, today, a competitive school sanctioned activity that has a higher mortality, severe injury, catastrophic injury rates than any other school sport. There are in the area of 120+ competitions held in the U.S. alone. At least a dozen are at a national level, where fans come to watch and cheer.
