Still not stealing, just saying you think someone is suspicious can't excuse the punch, especially if the black guy wanted to charge for battery. The point is no matter how sure you are, you HAVE to wait until they attempt to steal or you risk a lot of legal issues. I've seen suspicious looking people at my workplace before, and I've learned that some people are just weird, not criminals. The fact any judge would look at is what constitutes stealing and what the person did in response, and here the black guy still has favor.

You're fooling yourself if you think that guy was trying to be honest. He was clearly trying to sneak the shirt into the bag--I dunno what fantasy world you live in, but where the rest of us come from, sneaking a shirt into a bag means you're trying to sneak it out of a store.

Did I ever say I believe he wasn't gonna steal? And if you wanna talk about living in a fantasy world, in the REAL world there are consequences for being a dumb shit and attacking people BEFORE they actually have enough proof to do it. In the real world it doesn't matter what the black guy was planning, the other guy fucked up by punching him and the law says that the black wasn't in the wrong because he hadn't attempted to walk away with the bag.
I don't know what fantasy world you live in that lets random people attack others based on what they "think is gonna happen" because that's NOT any real world.

Ever hear of "avoid the appearance of evil?" I think a pretty basic human right is defense of self and property. Even you confess that you think he was going to steal that shirt--once you've initiated force against another person's self or property, you put yourself in danger of retaliation. I'm not gonna say that the guy was in the right to smack him that hard, there are other things he could have done. But frankly, if you're trying to commit a crime, I don't think you get to cry when someone punishes you for it.

What the white guy did was battery, plain and simple, and yes the black guy shouldn't be allowed to complain about it if he was stealing, but the white guy fucked up massively with how he handled it, and basically gave the black guy ammunition to charge him.
And actually, stores won't let you approach someone and accuse them of stealing unless they go for the exit, the most we can do is send employees to follow them and watch them until they either try to run or put stuff back, and have one person watch the front door. We can't do anything until it's absolute that it's theft, regardless of how it looks. Once they try for the front door we can search them if they were seen stealing though. Sounds stupid but it's because stores don't want to run the risk of an employee doing something like in the gif and causing legal trouble with the store.
The point I'm making is that he did not handle the black guy properly, and that's the problem. It wasn't justice because he can be charged and be at fault, and that sucks.

The number itself is not infinite, but the decimal representation is.
Infinity itself is a strange concept and there are countless (lol) examples how to fuck with the brain using infinity.
Imagine the following situation: You have infinite cups, each containing 1/10th of the previous one. 1 liter, 0.1 liter, 0.01 liter and so on. You fill all but the first cup with water and pour them into the 1 liter cup. Clearly, there is now 0.111111111.... l of water in the cup. It is a finite amount, but you can't picture the number (in liters) itself.
Now you might argue, that you only got this result by using infinite cups. But mark the 1l cup at the hight of the water, pour it away and then refill it to that mark. It now again has 0.111111111.... l in it. The mark on the side of the cup simply marks an amount of water, that has an infinitely large number when written in liters.
And with pi it is the same. It is some kind of ratio, which happens to be (among other things) infinitely long, but it is still a number somewhere between 3 and 4.
Keep in mind, that this needs the irrational numbers, pi is in. It takes some time to get used to that.

Hold your hands 1m apart. Clap.
You just moved your hand 0.5 meters, then 0.25 meters, then 0.125 meters, then 0.0625 meters, then . . . , then 0.000000953674316 meters etc.
But your hand still clapped. As numbers get infinitesimally small, there can be infinite digits to numbers. It's weird, but it's true.
