I'm not talking about countries but society as a whole. A socialist society makes more sense in the coming future then a capitalistic society.

Theoretically that's how it works.

But in countries where there is no healthy mixing of social policies with capitalism, we get... well a small number of ultra rich and huge numbers of poor, and economy in the shitter because there is no customer base, since potential customers can't afford shit.

When wealth gets too accumulated and only invested through banks and funds, like its happening now, money available to the market becomes scarcer. People spend less, buying only what they need where is cheapest. Which means small and medium sized businesses start going down. It leads to a massive market contraction.

Largest and quickest expansion of USA economy ever happened when Henry Ford (capitalist to the bone) decided to pay his workers as much as he can, instead of as little as he can get away with. And those around him started doing the same.

Why? Because more money people have, more they spend. From employees who work for basically room and board, they become customers. Then they spend money, then other people have more money and they spend more and invest more, and then there is more money to be had. You take a smaller slice of the pie, but pie grows.

Greed is good capitalism that is being practiced now, and in pre-ford capitalism in the USA, is most horrible thing for the country long term.

Are you telling me that you'd rather live in a world were people die starvation in rich countries, then a world were everyone gets something to eat?
