 And you know kidnaped Maria and forced her to have a child so he could use said child in his evil plans in killing every human. Then killed her and gave her bones to her lover pretending it was some animal's bone.  The first part was just turning a monarchy into a republic. The second part was a revolution, had he won he would have been considered a hero. He wasn't a good guy, but the kinda whole point was that the humans were the bad guys first. They're technically human too, but were treated like slaves, and tried to rebel. #324 -

It was outright shown that the humans respect the progress of their civilization provided that they are not using the sentient library as that shit is the modern day equivalent of a super bomb . Hell, they even condemn any human who dares show the slightest hint of desire for violence. In fact, the humans even ensured that Squeeler's war with Kiomaru will be fought only after all peaceful means was exhausted. Squeeler was outright EVIL. He never chanced a monarchy into a republic, rather, he was blinded by greed and desired to have more power. Even going as far as waging war against the humans who protected them from the invasion of the foreign clans simply because he wanted the human soldiers. >#204 He never forced them. anon (08/13/2015) [-] Spoilers ahead Pokemonstheshiz was right, though. Squeera was smart, and he figured out what the humans had been hiding from them. Everyone was taught that the queerats had evolved separately, and been allowed to live and build their own civilisation. That wasn't the truth. Remember how humans started gaining telepathic powers, but not everyone had these abilities? That didn't just suddenly change. Not all of humankind became gifted. The humans with powers, however, were easily able to control those without. Thus, the humans who didn't have powers were treated as lower beings and forced to do the grunt work of civilisation. However, this was still a threat to those in power, since humans are intelligent and capable of rebellion. Saki was working with mole rats later in the series, and could see their resemblance to the monster rats. Queerats were, apparently, 'descendants' of the mole rat. However, that isn't all that they were. What Squeera had found out, the reason for his rebellion, is that they were part human. The humans with powers, in order to keep those without powers at bay, had spliced those humans DNA with rat DNA, and called them a separate species. This is why Squeera please out "We are human!" And you are supposed to feel bad when the entire crowd laughs at him. Sami later does tests and finds out this truth, and that is why she goes and puts an end to his misery. I adore Maria. I don't believe that what Squeera did was 'good'. But he did what he believed he had to to stand up against the ones he felt had enslaved his kind. He might have done many selfish things, but in the end, he felt it was the only way to get the future he wanted for his people. They were part human, but denied equal rights, and used as labourers. Squeeler's rebellion was never about equality. It was all for the sake of increasing his wealth and power.  Nigga you what? Queerats were straight up slaves. They were given waaay less rights and used for labour they were created from himans that were thought of as lesser beings. . They discourage violence against other humans sure, but they'll outright slaughter whole queerat colonies for disobeying . they selectively bread rats for obedience. The information comes from the way rats are treated, whats said about them and how they act towards humanity. If you have to do jobs for some other group or they'll kill you and your family and you cant speak out about it, its slavery. If you fight to end oppression from the ruling factor, its a rebellion. Just because the ancestral line is evil doesn't mean that the successors are just as bad. Hell, I dare you give me a single scene wherein the humans abused the mole-rats simply out of whim. I can, however, point out many things that shows how the humans either gives no shit about their civilization the council never found out about the invasion of the foreign colonies if not for Kioumaru's report, they never found out that Squeeler's clan have grown so strong over the years and have changed their ruling system if not for Saki, and they never learned that Kioumaru once launced a military force to Tokyo in order to find a weapon that can counter PK users. or actually cares about them and wishes to have a peaceful coexistence Before Kiomaru and Squeeler waged war against each other, the humans made sure that they will first speak of their reasons and why options for diplomacy was exhausted After Squeeler was caught, he was given a chance to prove his innocence in the court, just as how the code of justice should be. After Squeelers rebellion was quelled, they did not just went on a rampage and killed every single mole-rat. Rather, they made sure that ever colony will a chance to be trialed. Proven by how after the years alot of mole-rat colonies are still in existence If you actually use your common sense, you will see that the humans have no need for the labor force of the mole-rats as a single kid can do the entire labor of the entire colony but with much less food. And the only time wherein they actually hired them was when they have to eliminate any person who shows the slightest sign of turning into an Akuma.
