Kanon. The 2006 version, preferrably. I actually like it more than Clannad.
#16 - motherfuckingkenji (04/27/2013) [-]
Clannad.
Clannad is very much like Angel Beats! but without guns.
Just be sure you have a few dozen boxes of tissues for when you start watching the After Story.
#17 - broskidoo (04/27/2013) [-]
I cried harder than I ever have in my life watching Clannad. Best anime ever.
#18 - motherfuckingkenji (04/27/2013) [-]
Literally the only thing, be it a show, movie, book or game, to make me cry actual tears.
But adding a bit more info on my first comment, Clannad is structured very much like Angel Beats!: mostly a comedy with a few feels, especially at the end.
Clannad After Story (at least the second half) is just a giant FUCKYOUANDYOURFATWIFETYPHOONNADOSPLOSIONONSOON of sadness and feels.

ackbobthedead, if you're going to watch it, I recommend watching the Kyou OVA some time during Clannad and the Tomoya OVA after that but before you start After Story.

I cried during the Tomoyo OVA, I feel like he connected more at an emotional level in that 1 episode with Tomoyo than he ever did with *SPOILER ALERT IF YOU'RE DUMB AND DONT KNOW WHO HES GOING TO END UP WITH BY EPISODE 1* Negisa. The second half of the afterstory is just so fucking sad, I cried damn near every episode.

Easily the best anime I've ever watched. I seriously recommend it.
User avatar #20 - motherfuckingkenji (04/27/2013) [-]
I watched the entirety of Clannad. Wasn't bad. Then I watched the Tomoya OVA. I was just like "Well shit, the entirety of that series made this one episode worth it."

Also, Tomoya* and Nagisa*.
Sorry, I had to.
User avatar #38 - chuckbob (04/27/2013) [-]
If you haven't, read the VN for it, Tomoyo's full arc (The sequel VN included) is way more feely than Nagisa+afterstory imo. Cried at the sound of the music after reading those.
#21 - broskidoo (04/27/2013) [-]
Tomoyo is the girl. Tomoya is the main character.
And oops, I misspelled Nagisa :x
But yeah, at least be right if you correct me man.
User avatar #22 - motherfuckingkenji (04/27/2013) [-]
Holy shit.
I've made it a point ever since I watched that show to be absolutely correct about everything involving it.
I love the show that much.
And I fucked up.
I... I don't know how this could have happened to me.
Maybe I was thinking about the Spanish spelling of things, I don't know.
I deeply, truly apologize for my fuck up.
And no, none of that was sarcasm.
#23 - broskidoo (04/27/2013) [-]
No worries, I'm actually glad you corrected me about the Nagisa thing, I love being correct too.

If they'd crossed the Empire campaign over with Napoleon battles, then you'd have the best one.
Oh, and I think they might be redoing all the titles. Because they started Shogun, then Rome, then Medieval, and now they've done Shogun 2 and Rome 2. Fingers Crossed for Medieval 3. I still play Medieval 2 a lot. The Third Age mod is very good

Interesting, so your point is that we all should make up our minds on what is right and wrong UNLESS you made up your mind based on a book written by God, in which case you are wrong and clearly not using your own mind?

I can't help but ask you to look at the real world to justify your point. Has there ever been a point in history in which everyone agreed on what was right? Can we ever all agree on what is right if we just say "right is what you feel like it should be?"

What about those people who are sure racism is right? Or those who see nothing wrong with murder? If you say you have a valid idea of right and wrong based on how you feel, then how can you discount everyone else's feelings? That has to include those who think the right way to live is that all people murder who they want and steal if they can get away with it. There are people who have exact opposite beliefs of what is right and wrong than you do. But you feel no sympathy that they are considered outcasts and their beliefs are outlawed simply because you agree with what the current laws holds as right.

You see, that way of thinking is arbitrary and leaves literally anything open to be called righteous and anything to be called evil and immoral. It's arbitrary and has no back bone, nothing to back it up. At least my story book has reason behind all of its laws and rules while you apparently pull your morals out of thin air and then make fun that mine come from a book.

I don't really know. I'm not gay so I can't describe how it would feel in that situation.
Believe it or not, there is usually one or no gays per a grade. I've meet more gays at a public school.

#68 - ackbobthedead (04/19/2013) [-]
I doubt that there are so little amounts of gays. It would be very hard for someone to come out if there are no others out, so they would just stay in the closet, and be scared to tell anyone, especially when everyone is a guy. Girls are easier to tell you're gay to, because they don't tend to be so judgmental, if they're your friend.

But what if two people's common sense contradict? You see just going on your feelings on something means that morality can simply change with your feelings. It's arbitrary and based on literally thin air. If a man convinces himself that murder is ok then does that make it so?
#1232 - ackbobthedead (04/19/2013) [-]
That's why humans are social creatures. We talk to each other and learn if something bothers the other. One person may want to commit murder, but it's unnatural for a mammal, as far as I know, to kill a member of the same species. We don't need a book to tell us that harming someone or stealing is wrong. It's simply unhealthy if you can't understand what's blatantly right and wrong. Some people have different ideas of what's right and wrong, yes, but those people just need to speak with others around them and be social and someones ideals will change, hopefully for the better.
