No, Shoubro! She doesn't want to be taken care of! Haven't you learned anything from her route?! She just wants to be treated like a regular person.

You can make VERY powerful bombs with bleach, salt substitute, Vaseline, metal piping, a few other comm goods, and some know-how. Banning guns would just get people to use bombs again, which he could have thrown one in each classroom and killed the whole fucking school with. Guns aren't these awful killing machines, household objects are.

It's also very fun light these and throw them in ditches and stuff if you live in a remote area. Except you don't want metal piping, have a plastic or cardboard or something else so there isn't any/much shrapnel.

You can't ban those products though - they have other practical uses

Unlike guns, their only use is to kill
#1110 - anon (12/19/2012) [-]
You seem to dense to grasp my point. A gun's purpose, aside from hunting/recreation, is to defend yourself from other individuals and threats both foreign and domestic.
When you have someone mad like that who creates very simple chemical bombs bursting through the door of a building you're in, what are you going to do? The police will take at least 10 minutes to respond, you could all be dead and they could have escaped by then. Or you could get your ASSAUHULT WAPEON and kill the fucker.
What about WW2 Germany? Those Jews didn't need any guns, right! Especially anything with high capacity magazines or anything! they could have went on a shooting rampage! We need to take all the guns away from German citizens because the fuhrer says they're only used to kill and have no legitimate use!
Either stop being such a reactionary and illogical fool who's blind to the world or kindly go fuck yourself.

People are still going to get lightsabers if you ban them.

Just like with the alchohol banning.

You just said yourself it's a people issue, fact is as American's most of us like being armed, and like having the ability to protect ourselves whenever we need to. What American's truly need to do is ensure that adults purchasing guns understand how to keep them out of the hands of their children and others that should not have them.

After this incident I think Obama is really going to bring down the hammer on this. As long as he can get congress to set aside the politics of it I think he'll be able to lay down some very effective regulations
#56 - anon (12/16/2012) [-]
The problem is that we're in America, and the lawmakers are more likely to make it more difficult for the law-abiding citizen to get guns, and not the ones who are carrying out the mass-murders.
I do however agree with you, and I also wish we could be a bit more like Australia in that sense, at least.

You know what I hate...well who I hate.... Piers FUCKING Morgan. This douch, like many news hosts is talking about gun control right now, which is fine. BUT Piers isn't even American, I'm sorry but you should be from a country before you go and preach about what is wrong with it...

Like what if an American TV host had a show in the UK and preached about what was wrong with your laws, you'd be annoyed right? Thats how I feel about Peirs
#136 - acfurryface (12/16/2012) [-]
In fairness, everyone in Britain hates Piers Morgan as well. We were all very happy when he left.

Shame that in the UK, your laws on protecting yourselves are about as dense and retarded as some of America's politicians. :/

"I find Americans primitive and stupid"
You didn't have to tell us you were British, we could tell.
#137 - acfurryface (12/16/2012) [-]
Yeah, sorry about that. But all I've seen are people defending the second amendment to the death. I know there's been exceptions, but the exceptions are rare. Looking at Australia, it seems obvious that its far better to change the gun law than to just let this pass. As for claims that protecting yourself will be harder, deal with it- It works just fine in the EU on the whole.

Us Yankees are better with guns than your tea-sipping asses.
#41 - draxdiesel (12/16/2012) [-]
i'd rather have a tea drinking nation and therefore a relaxed nation than one in which every few months someone decides to wipe out a whole bunch of strangers for no obvious reason

Yeah, which is why you almost lost a war against a country that was fighting from 3000 miles away, with shitloads of funding from the French, where the general populace was supporting your cause...

User avatar
#42 - unncommon (12/16/2012) [-]
I'm assuming that you're referencing the "War of 1812"?

Also, the Americans have never lost a war. Can you say the same for any of the U.K.?
User avatar
#44 - hpnerd (12/16/2012) [-]
No, because everytime that America is about to lose a war it ducks out.

And no, of course you didn't lose Vietnam...
User avatar
#49 - demaciankael (12/16/2012) [-]
Also, the United States was basically destroying North Vietnam. The only reason they had to stop was because of civilians and other idiots back home forcing them to pull out.
User avatar
#47 - unncommon (12/16/2012) [-]
Contrary to popular belief, the "Vietnam War" wasn't a war at all, it was a 'Police-Action'. You (being presumably ignorant for foreign affairs) may not recognize the difference, and I'd be glad to elaborate: In any "War" one party would posses the ability to overthrow another governing party, whilst in a 'Police-Action', there was no official 'declaration of war", meaning that party A doesn't have the ability to overthrow party B's gov't.

Plus, if you believe those protesting liberal-fucks, then you could say that the Americans lost the "Vietnam War". But, statistically speaking, 47,359 (Hostile Vietnamese Deaths) - 10,797 (American Deaths).

Guns in America aren't unregulated, you know. If our government was actually useful at enforcing the gun laws that are already in place, a good portion of these sorts of shootings wouldn't happen.

There are a few common-sense gun laws that could be put into place, but a prohibition on guns would not work in America--for the same reason every other prohibition hasn't worked.

What are you expecting, high brow humor?

"Charles, I've conjured a humorous, hypothetical scenario. Perhaps as the established gentleman you are you could lend me your insight: What might one poor person say to another?"

"My mental faculties have been exhausted, Alexander. What might such an urchin bespeak of?"

"The answer is irrelevant! They are poor folk! Ho ho ho ho ho!"
