Since my cousin is a sergeant of some kind, the after party happend at the local army base where we got food, cake and a few rounds on their shooting range with a .22 caliber handgun.

All in all I've had a pretty swell day from 4 in the morning to 4 in the evening when I got home

For a first time firing live ammo, i'd say I did alright at 32 feet.
At 64 feet (the red outlined ones) a little less so.

I would definitely advise joining your local range, it's a very fun and rewarding hobby. I do rifle shooting mostly with my dad, in the summer I usually do this program where we shoot prone every Tuesday when the sun goes down over the mountain.
