What's wrong with getting rich off others? If "others" are willingly buying my product and paying me money for it, it's all mutually consensual and I have full right to get rich. Life doesn't dictate anything. Your decisions are your own.

Yeah, because god forbid the Trillion dollar record companies who screw the musicians out of their money anyway lose $0.99

If enough people think like you, that $0.99 becomes a MUCH larger figure. And since millions of people pirate music, it becomes millions of dollars lost. Think it through.

I never once said that the record companies were in the right. I'm a musician, and I know firsthand how screwed people get, especially when it comes to things like iTunes.

Regardless, that doesn't mean stealing from those companies makes it right. Just because musicians get gypped doesn't mean that we have the right to steal from them. Two wrongs don't make a right. They are, legally, in the right to pursue people who are robbing them of profit, however marginal.

It sucks, but that's the world we live in. And as long as we're in the wrong for doing the stealing, it's going to be an issue.
