- So it's impossible to house break dogs, then?
Obviously not, they don't have the ability to learn from retroactive scenarios though, you wouldn't be rolling them on their back and six hours later telling them that's called rolling over would you?
might be a reason why people use dogs to save lives
I don't see the connection there.
It's pretty obvious I didn't manage to say what I meant to in the right way, because half the people yelling at me here are agreeing with me while they call me retarded. I don't believe dogs can learn from events after a certain period of time. Like if your dog pisses the carpet and you punish them, they realize it's not something they can do, but if you're gone for a while and come back and there's cold piss on the floor, if you shove their face in it, they probably won't know why. Might think pissing is bad itself or something, or if they came up happy to see you and you shove their face in piss, they might think they aren't supposed to come up to you like that.
they do have the ability to connect cause and effect, but it only works in ~5 minute time frames.
if they eat something and they immediately get sick, theyll never eat that thing.
unfortunately they usually get sick hours later and dont make the connection.
in a human's case, the connection i believe is something like 24 hours.
obviously we can comprehend a bigger picture through abstraction, but this is mostly low-level cause and effect recognition
think about it this way:
have you ever felt sick and said "i shouldn't have eaten that burrito last week"?
I actually kind of get what you are trying to explain. Dogs certainly won't understand the punishment if the action was a while ago. Housebreaking dogs and training is done immediately when bad behavior happens. But that IS connecting punishment to the action. The dog sees that a action is responded by a negative reaction, and overtime with consistency understands not to do the action or face punishment.
I'm pretty bad with words, but I'm glad someone got what I was saying
That isn't even remotely the same thing as not being able to make a connection from punishment to action.
- Are you a Russian spy?

dude you had a chance to use this, or something similar, but you didn't take it.

- You solved that? Wikipedia says it's never been solved.
it was a fermat joke. Fermat scribbled his last theorem in the margin of a book but wrote he has a proof but the margin was too narrow to write it. It then took 350 years for anyone else to prove it.
- this kind of **** is why I'm horrified of the dentist
All this lewd has got to stop!
Reminds me of the parties I used to go to a few years back, there was always one bitch that got too drunk and was all over everyone -_-
More often than not it was the same girl each time tbh, and it was common place to have the same friend of her's have a taxi on stand by just before she got to this stage.
That's what I call Irony!
- And here I was thinking it was referring to Russian.

- Why do people gotta romanticize suicide?
Because natural selection is the only reason the human race is so intelligent.
Either they use it as a coping mechanism or they just want attention, depends on the person
Because they have nothing else to live for.
Because they don't live with actual suicidal thoughts. 24/7.
Even then, as someone who currently does have to deal with annoying, intrusive dark thoughts, it helps me to joke about it. Pink Guy's please kill yourself was a motto for me for a while because it allowed me to release some of the anxiety and intrusive thoughts into something harmless like a song about killing yourself.
I am not the proof of a rule though, rather an exception, so I don't dare to speak for anyone else. But romanticizing suicide is a great coping mechanism that allows venting and putting these normally hidden thoughts in the open in a sort of 'less strings attached' way.
