Well okay, that's good then. But, as I said above, I still believe it goes against the spirit of mods, which are historically community based additions to games, not third party dlc; and I still believe that modders are wasting their skills by trying to charge for mods, because if they have the skills to make something they can justify asking money for, then they could make a much more reliable revenue using those skills for a real job. and if they have made mods they think are worth charging for, they should be using them for a portfollio piece on a resume, not trying to convince steam users to buy their product.

Well the modders only get 25% of the profit. And they did like 100 of the work

yeah, that's the biggest issue I have with it, despite my belief that their wasting their time and their skill trying to make a living off of mods, is that they get ripped the fuck off and somebody is still gonna try (and probably fail) to make a living off of it. People depending on this type of transaction to make a living will, inevitably, put out more lower quality content than less higher quality content when they find that the one mod isn't enough to suppor thtem.

There are more games with mods.

I think they're testing the waters with skyrim.

So I say we scream and shout until this pan boils dry.

Hopefully testing the waters with Skyrim will make the system look super bad cause most people don't use the Steam Workshop with Skyrim cause of Nexus.

I know the difference and specifically stated that reaper was right when he pointed out that I failed to state a distinction. Your comment is kind of pointless.
