never said a single word bout halo. 1) i dont like ps3. as a system, marketing strategy, everything about it aside from the blu ray player. that being said, id still buy it if the exclusive games were better than the exclusive games of any other consol. the vast majority of exclusive content on the ps3 lacks severely imho, pretty much just blasting out games that appeal to douchebags. games with retarded amounts of machismo. more so than ive seen in any consol. its cool, i get it, no homo. i love the metal gear series, and i love lbp. hard rain sucked game play wise, but was at least a good story. plus you got some download games like everyday shooter and scott pilgrim. thumbs up there.

but god of war is such a college douche bro game. it pails in comparison with other games of that genre, like the devil may cry series, bayonetta, or ninja gaiden. now i understand these games are available on ps3, but thats not my point. my point is that god of war is for douchey yeah bros that beat off on the pulsating sweat glands of 24 inch veiny biceps. its got the shittiest story, the most rehashed in game physics ever, shitty acting, and the graphics arent that spectacular. fuck that series.

then we can move on to uncharted. it has a story that is straight out of tomb raider fucks indiana jones, with in game controls worse than silent hill one, and without the thrill to save it. it is essentially just a hollywood movie turned game format, and shoved down your throat like hollywood movies are.

and people also hailed resistance, which is call of duty and halo mashed into one with confetti fire graphics. it was supposed to show us, good god damn, what the ps3 can do. well, if thats what the ps3 could do, then it isnt that amazing. its again, a lack lustre story that steals cliches from every successful first person shooter ever, and then doesnt give a fuck half way through the building process, so they cheapskate on level design, character design, originality, and most importantly, detailed graphics.

ratchet and clank has always been a game ive never cared for, again, the genre has put out better variations on 3rd person platformers, and the "pun humor" of ratchet and clank is very testosterone driven, even though they try to hammer the "im too cool for school" trope into your head like it was a legitimate interpretation of a hero archetype.

everything else that can be played on ps3, i can play on xbox, which now that the new slims have come out, the fail rate has significantly decreased, and theyre still keeping the lifetime warranty against the red rings. sure it sucks i have to pay for online service (which rumor is that ps3 will soon as well), but the peripherals feel better to me. besides, ive only had to change my x box in for repairs twice, and ive had it since gen one.

now if you want to talk about halo, at least they put thought into making the games, and experiment with new concepts to try to keep the first person shooter thing interesting. it fails from time to time, ill admit, like charging full price for odst, an obvious expansion game. but the story is so written out and deep, that you can actually find an emotional attachment with some of the characters. plus the "badassery" doesnt feel too contrived or forced. the handling is great and very customizable, the graphics have improved greatly with every installment, and the environments have improved greatly since halo 2. is it for you? obviously not. i dont care.

one of the only things i think playstation has over xbox is that its controllers for some strange reason work so well for fighting games like any capcom classic. plus you guys get the major kingdom hearts releases. i am jealous for that. but your over priced, undergamed, over testosteroned, glorified blu ray player just doesnt prove to me that its all that worth beating off over.
