Oh god. Polo shirts.

What's up with Polos?
User avatar
#59 - electronicbacon (03/26/2015) [-]
I just despise them

#60 - teoyuppie (03/26/2015) [-]
I mean I guess it depends on the Brand. I like Ralph Lauren, Vineyard Vines, Brooks Brothers and Paul Stuart. Something that doesn't look thin and cheap. If you're still rocking a Polo from Abercrombie and Fitch and you're pushing 30, well then good luck trying to be taken seriously.

I just don't like how they look and what type of people they're linked with

The thing is, most Fraternities in my College don't necessarily wear anything preppy. Hell, I laughed at the Vice President because he was sporting an Pink American Eagle Polo shirt and exclaimed "God, I look so fratty." For the most part, they wear their t shirts with their letters on them or Ed Hardy, A&F, Hollister, basically any brand that's really flashy or screams douchebag. The look doesn't really appeal to me. But I still think that you can still wear a nice polo and be a genuine person.

#66 - electronicbacon (03/26/2015) [-]
Where I live, most of the people who wear them are wiggers.
User avatar
#67 - teoyuppie (03/26/2015) [-]
That's terrible. If they'd come in my area they'd be laughed at.

I've read the article about growing up. They make some very good points.

Thank you for the source.

plot twist: it's a pool party.

bet you thought you were so fucking smart.

Some people are so retarded they need internet pictures to tell them how to dress.
User avatar
#32 - meganinja (03/26/2015) [-]
Because people are born with instinctual knowledge on cultural dress requirements.
#18 - atomicjojo (03/26/2015) [-]
last time that image was posted, swag fags came and said how it was for queers and nerds and shit, "nobody but old men dress like that" and called me stupid for saying i use that guide. This generation is the worst.

Time for me to do a 180 with a filthy frank video. Blame the individuals, not the generation.

Okay here goes, I'll put the number in the full series in brackets and a star if it is included in more than one group:

**Wizards* The Colour of Magic (1), The Light Fantastic (2), Eric (9), Sourcery (5), Interesting Times (17), The Last Continent (22), Unseen Academicals (37)

**City Watch* Guards! Guards (8), Men at Arms (15), Feet of Clay (19), Jingo (21), The Fifth Elephant (24), Night Watch (29), Thud! (34), Snuff (39)

**Death* Mort (4), Reaper Man (11), Soul Music (16), Hogfather (20), Thief of Time (26)

**Witches* Equal Rites* (3), Wyrd Sisters (6), Witches Abroad (12), Lords and Ladies* (14), Maskerade (18), Carpe Jugulum (23)

**Tiffany Aching* (I added Tiffany to the witches, but as bibblesworth says, she really deserves her own series) The Wee Free Men (30), A Hat Full of Sky (32), Wintersmith (35), I Shall Wear Midnight (38), The Shepherd's Crown (41)

**Moist Von Lipwig* Going Postal (33), Making Money (36), Raising Steam (40)

**One Offs* Pyramids (7), Moving Pictures (10), Small Gods (13), The Truth (25), The Last Hero (27), The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents (28), Monstrous Regiment* (31),

* Equal Rites and Lords and Ladies are mainly Witches but also include the Wizards and Monstrous Regiment also includes The Watch

Also worth noting that the only one there that doesn't fit into the list chronologically (as far as I know) is I think Small Gods, which takes place several thousand years prior?
User avatar
#213 - mankey (03/14/2015) [-]
True, but it's after Small Gods that Omnians start to be mentioned more, like Constable Visit.

That was supposed to bold the group titles, not put kissy faces.....dunno what happened there.

Not going to college either. Technically it is pretty good but I'm scared for my future.
#82 - corps (01/23/2015) [-]
You could always join the military. That would also allow you to take college classes if you wanted and not have to worry about debt. Your profile says you're in IL
#84 - tyroneisanigger (01/23/2015) [-]
Yes I am can I ask why you added that? Also, I have a schedule interview with the Coastguard but their office is all the way in Chicago. The coastguard recruits a little differently from the other branches.
User avatar
#85 - corps (01/23/2015) [-]
Just verifying that you lived in the US because I know a lot of people just assume everyone lives in America. But hey, I'm sure the Coast Guard would take care of you.
#87 - tyroneisanigger (01/23/2015) [-]
Yeah I'm sure you could have assumed by my previous comment that Chicago is a good six hours away from where I live. The only feasible option I have is taking a train there but I hear the main station is in a bad part of the city I don't want to get mugged.
You know anything of Chicago? I'll probably end up going there for the interview anyways but anything helps.
#88 - corps (01/23/2015) [-]
No, I'm just a Nebraska guy. I have been to big cities like New York quite a few times however, and it's not as bad as you'd think. If you're just taking a train I'm sure you'll be fine.
#89 - tyroneisanigger (01/23/2015) [-]
Huh only one state between IL and NE.

I live close to the IL/IA border.
User avatar
#90 - corps (01/23/2015) [-]
Oh, yeah... I hadn't even thought about that. It's funny, because I live along the NE/IA border.
