I'm saying they'll have the same mass, but if you change the shape, then the volume will change, which will the change the density.

No, it's the same material, and the same material always has the same density under the same pressure and temperature.
And this is a solid so even if those changed the density wouldn't change much.

The mass would be the same, but changing the shape will change the volume.

Plus, the shape itself will affect whether it floats or not.
