I know, but I had only played RPG's and the older Resident Evil's before that game. To put it simply, it helped teach me how to aim in first person shooters. Because I really sucked at them. REALLY SUCKED.

Not saying there all bad but bettwen the first 3 it got so repetitive i gave up on it but COD id different in every game hence i like it better but would never call i the best shooter series ever.

Yeah. I think it's just really hard for any game company to continue pumping out shooters and keep them feeling fresh. COD does do a better job of it though.
Reach was able to take things in a different direction a little bit but still could be looked at as just another Halo.

My personal favorite shooter is RE4, but that's because I'm a big fan of all the older games and RE4 was the one that got me playing FPS.

How is CoD different every game, you run through and shoot stuff, like every shooter.

The only 2 MAJOR differences between halo and CoD (aside from the consoles it is available for) is that Halo is more cartoony, and one focuses on weapon variety, and the other on vehicles.

COD is different story line different characters. And is based on historical events excluding MW and BO. So to me it's impressive. As for halo without Master chief the war would have been over . and to me it's just repetitive same guns in every game seriously.

Whereas when it comes to CoD it is so different to go through, play through a war that everyone has learned about, where the greater majority of people just run through and kill the people with little thought to the story.

-__- it was historical so no thought to story needed however Black ops and Modern warfare have amazing made up stories.

I agree with you. Thats what made me switch to cod from halo. MW2 changed my opinion. I still like forge mode but I play cod way more
