So I let the players get a hold of a Crystal Ball recently. The wizard was the only one who can use it effectively. When she was young, she was kidnapped and, like, raped or something. So the wizard used the Crystal Ball to hunt down the one guy she hadn't already killed. She found him in an old part of town and started lobbing Fireballs at him. She incinerated him in one shot, but kept going. She set the whole city on fire and it spread wildly. I had them start rolling to save people. Con checks to avoid smoke inhalation and Int checks to properly manage the goblin pirates under their command. The whole city burned to the ground and caught the lush jungle on fire too. Now over half the island is burnt and still burning.

Pretty much. We left the session off with the players noticing something they'd forgotten about: a Nature Goddess was able to hold her brother, a Fire God of destruction, at bay. Unfortunately, she's closely tied to the nature around her and while her powers dwindle, he's gaining strength and he started to send his minions off to make the fires WORSE. At least I know what the players are doing next week~!

I'm going for Chespin because grass is my traditional starter (minus an exception or two).

That's reasonable enough. Feraligatr and Emboar are the exceptions.

If fairy type is true, then it's actually looking like quite the powerhouse type, being weak to Poison (the flat out weakest type in the game) and Steel (which is uncommon as an attacking move), while being immune to dragon and super effective vs dragon?

Aye! Dragon needs another check and being super effective against Fighting is pretty sweet too.

We'll have to see. It's still too early to make any real judgments.

Aye. I'm hoping on this though. I'm liking this. I can rationalize most of how Fairy supposedly works, I'm just having trouble rationalizing why it'd be immune to dragon. Last time I check, dragons eat a lot of stuff, and fairies were no exception.

She was a stray dog. We were about to go home after church and our youngest siblings said there was a puppy outside and we went to check it out. She was sick, had no collar, and looked half-starved. We took her home and checked her out. She was very sick. We looked at a red spot on her backside. She had maggots beneath her skin. We started picking them away with tweezers as we gave her a flea bath. She hardly ate for a bit and we took her to the vet when it was open. She got a little better, but she was still weak so we took her again for some extra fluids and things and now she's a happy puppy who likes to jump in our laps and on our beds just to sit next to us. We named her Grace because its by the grace of God that we saved her in time.

I've little to know experience in the MTG. I've heard of it, of course. I know some very basics, like you need to play land and tap it for summons and stuff.

Exactly, I've just recently gotten into it, too. A friend recommended it to me and it's really good. I wanted to ask you if you would be interested in taking a look at it and if you want to even get it.

The one I'm specifically talking about is Magic: The Gathering Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013, it's on Steam.

A Square Enix MMO. Its not bad so far. The combat is fairly cool. Its very open world, though. There aren't many quests right now.
