everything a mac can do a pc can do better/faster for less money. there is no logical reason to getting a mac over a pc, it's entirely a brand thing.

As one who owns a Macbook Air, a Win7 desktop (i7-3770k/32GB RAM/SSD+HDD), and 2 Linux servers, bullshit.

Macs have better hardware than PCs (aesthetics; build quality, trackpad feel, overall laptop feel). The only thing that comes close to it is the Samsung Series 9 and Chromebook Pixel. The former I own, and it still feels flimsy compared to my MBA. The latter I want to own, but meh. Sure, you can get a 10% faster processor for $300 less, but your laptop feels worse. And honestly, what would you use more? A nice (expensive) car with a meh engine but nice interior/exterior, or a shitty interior/exterior but really nice engine? I'd take the former *any* day.

Also, technical merit, OS X is not nearly as technically advanced as (other popular) *nixes/Windows. But, you can do some pretty nice interop on them without having to waste a minute starting a VM or rebooting every time you want to edit a .docx (in not shit OpenOffice) or use GCC/Clang. == Cont

There are reasons to buy Macs. You just don't know much about computers yet. Have fun touting your RainMeter and games on Windows, because in the real world, the capability to use those is just SO important. ;)

tl;dr: You're wrong, you're willfully ignorant, and you're a fanboy. Am I saying I'm not? Not necessarily. I like my Mac. But if someone calls Linux/Windows completely worthless, I'll defend it just as fervently. So sure, I'm a fanboy of all popular OSes (sans the BSDs, assuming you don't consider OS X a BSD), but that's primarily because I have no reason to use them over a stable Linux distro. Sure, you can't game on it; sure, you can't run it well as a server; sure, you can't run lots of Windows programs on it. But damn is it nice when you're working in an environment where you need to work between Windows and Linux. Plus, the pretty UI is pleasing over time.

Adding a rooster to the pen causes the chickens to "want" to lay more eggs. Just like if the chickens are stressed they don't lay, if there's a rooster present they will lay more. I used to have a chicken coop and I can say for a face they layed more when there was a rooster...although the rooster was a major asshole.
