And that is after meeting the specific NPC that starts the DLC quest.

The extended cut ending? Isn't that free? I haven't played Dead Space, and I bought the Dragon Age DLC's, so I couldn't comment on that, however, the Dragon Age DLC's were definitely complete expansions, especially Awakening.
