Nah, you can get a Darwin for removing yourself from the gene pool in other ways (Such as accidentally removing, or permanently damaging one's testicles beyond repair), although yes, it is usually death. Although the books do have "Honorable mentions" which is reserved for people who didn't remove themselves from the gene pool, but their stupidity labels them as future possible candidates.

Darwin awards are for those who permanently remove themselves from the gene pool. They can do this by dying OR by rendering themselves incapable of producing children in the future. The books are also filled with "honorable mentions" of extreme acts of stupidity in which the person(s) did not die but came close.

So. Spec ops is kind of like your regular FPS. Only it focuses on the horrors and relaities of war. It's the first FPS that makes you think about the choices you made in the game. And the ending... Is just great.

Yes sir/ma'am. Massive amounts of knowledge on ancient Greece, Mayans, Incans, Ireland....priceless. Held the original scroll when we found Earth orbited the Sun. All gone. :/

I'm sorry to correct you, but the Library of Alexandria could not have held information pertaining to the Mayan or Inca Civilizations considering that the "New World" was unbeknownst to the "Old World" until approximately 1000 A.D.

Everyone knows that the pyramids were built by aliens who also built the temples in South America who then burned the Library of Alexandria to cover up their involvement.

Arguably the most important thing to know about why people feel sad about it's demise is that 90% of all the maths you know, as in the really complicated shit is derived from laws found in that library, I think that something crazy like 90% of all we know about maths at this current time was spread over about 4 or so books, yet there were rumored to be roughly 12 books I think, in other words if that hadn't had burned down by now we would possibly be hundreds of years ahead technologically relative to now.

It's like the most crushing feeling to know what we could have had really, we can't even comprehend what finding that library fully intact could have meant for us.

It was a massive, massive library. I don't recall which, but it either destroyed and burned, or buried by sands. Either way, we lost a ton of history.
