I personally think it's a mix of good and bad. When it gets the mood/setting right, it can be totally badass with good character development, action, and plotlines. This generally tends to happen wherever Jedi Masters, Knights, or Clone Troopers are involved, and it's bloody good fun.
The issue is, it really suffers from clichéd writing a decent portion of the time, which really kills the atmosphere. Also, as a hardcore Star Wars fan, it really pains me that this series runs roughshod over a lot of established, really interesting pieces of canon (for instance, they turned the Mandalorians [Jango Fett's race for those who don't know] from a badass warrior society into a bunch of democratic peace-loving mamby-pambies).
Basically, if you're intrigued, I'd give it a shot. My guess is you'll find at least some of it worth your while, just don't expect it to be perfect.

There were three groups: the "New Mandalorians", or the pacifists that ended up controlling Mandalore. Next is obviously Death Watch; the radical "terrorists" who wanted Mandalore to return to the glory days of strength and honor through war and conquest. Finally we have the True Mandalorians (formerly lead by Jaster Mareel and then Jango Fett). They honored their old traditions as warriors, but not in the way Death Watch did, instead electing to be highly paid and efficient mercenaries.
Naturally, Death Watch and the True Mandalorians didn't see eye to eye, and the True Mandalorians were all but wiped out in a Death Watch trap. Jango was the sole survivor, who later applied his talents to his new trade: bounty hunting.
However, I do have one complaint about how they portrayed the Mandalorians. They were not just one, human race with fair skin and light hair. They had all kinds of races. Adoption was a big thing for them, like, HUGE. Race didn't matter to them. It was the culture that counted, and I'm willing to bet that even during the schism there should have been a much more diverse population on that damn planet.
Damn I love the Mandalorians. Speaking of, here's some good 'ol Jaster for ya, and have a thumb! <3

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. I was thinking that the Clone Wars simply glossed over the existence of the True Mandalorians, but I wasn't thinking of the fact that they had been pretty much wiped out by the Death Watch. Still, it bugs me how the Mandalorian people were portrayed as just a basic peace-loving democratic culture, with no evidence of warrior traditions or upbringing. I really like the way Karen Traviss' novels portrayed Mandalorian culture, so I guess the complete 180 from the way she described it is what got to me.

Why does the gif look like it is CGI that would be found in a live action? There were 2 star wars series, one was really old and drawn like a saturday cartoon, while the new one that has been rolling for a while is closer to a borderlands (but not really) style animation.
Can you give a source per change?

The rest of the series can be found here:
For that second link you might want to have an episode list up, I think I couple of the early episodes maaay be mislabeled or out of order, but I'm pretty sure that was only in the first season. They might of fixed it or something by now too, so I'm not sure XD

I remember the show now. Seeing the movie jogged my memory.
It might pain you to hear it but i found it disappointing. The writing was cliché (a large portion of the time in my opinion) and the large scale fights were ALWAYS so uninteresting and recycled.
I remember the tactical battle being interesting to watch, but that the only real highlight i can remember. Of course, keep in mind that i tried the series probably a year ago and only did most of season one, maybe the start of season two.
I do think it was awesome making a Star Wars show for the younger generations to grow attached to and would defiantly recommend the series to younger fans. But unless there were major improvements to the series as a whole in the later seasons, I'm going to have to pass.
Thanks for the links though. Much appreciated.

I loved all the seasons, but after two and three is when the show really starts picking up. I don't wanna spoil anything, but I can tell you it gets pretty dark for a kids show. I mean, they torture a guy. To death. ON SCREEN. It didn't even fade to black or anything. Like dayum.
And it only gets darker.
