I would doubt that he would be like that, in all honesty I would say that he likes $ and his affiliation with homestruck was the reason as to why he would publish something for better or worse because he knows people will buy it.

Yea most likely he's numb to it but he would of hoped for better, I just altered the David Karp quote because it seemed fitting, along with me making the anime was a mistake style too. I plan to make more when Toby puts more pictures of himself out there for comedy sake.

Honestly, I don't think he expected better; I think he's disappointed it isn't worse. It takes a special kind of person to publish a work after seeing just how much corruption the Homestuck fandom has spawned, especially knowing that those same people would take interest in his work due to his affiliation with Homestuck. And that kind of person is someone who derives joy from knowing they've had a hand in creating something absolutely fucked up.

"Too strong/Competent"

Yep, sounds like Vriska. My waifu is simply the best there is.
Anyway, yes, that trope is very common. Strong female charecters get killed off in a bunch of stuff.

I think Jaune should get retcon powers and go back in time/space to save her. I think that is a logical next step for him, and should be a somewhat easy goal to achieve.

Here, have a John with his hammer.

"Going back in time to save her"

Ha how nuts would that be? Imagine during that hypothetical episode, he pulls Pyrrha out of that time, but when she transfers to the present she does that dematerialize thing and re-materializes in the present. So basically what we saw wasn't her disintegrating, but her being taken to the future.

The trope is 'Sacrificial Lion'.

The inverse of the sacrificial lamb, wherein a weak character is killed off to instil pain and sympathy in the audience. Conversely the sacrificial lion trope has a powerful character being killed off for the sake of lowering the power-boundaries of the protagonist group or to demonstrate the strength of the villain.

(Gotta post as anon because OP doesn't like it when people disagree with them.)
