My school, being one of those hicktown ag schools, has two cows every year. One is a female and is either sold to a dairy farm or kept. The other is a male, and after he breeds with the female cow... well you know that what happens to male cows ag students need to know.

When the male cow has been taken away to be slaughtered (I've seen the process and I think it's quite humane, a quick jolt of electricity kills instantly) the female will lie around for days and not really eat much. After a month or so though, she's back to normal.

Whether or not this determines sentience, I don't know, because I've never seen a person hold a mirror up to a cow.

As long as you get a job once you're out of school, and don't go and collect money from "NAV" for the rest of your life. Well then you'll pay back society both in paying back the student loans, and in taxes.

I know, but it depends on wheter or not it's a student loan, or if you get the support. This depends on what level of school you are in. University gives you a loan, while in high school(or the equivilant) you get what you can compare to a salery.

True. But thing is with Loans that it usually follows that you have to pay it back, often for an even higher price. When you're above 18 here you will get the money but it deppends if you live with parents and if you have a job etc.

That dosen't happen in Norway. We have real sex-ed in school, not just bullshit bout "abstinence".
Also, the idea of a siviliced society is to help the pore and those who cannot take care of them selves. But I bet your knowledge of econimics and politics only go as farth as foxnews.

In norway 2billion(norwgian) is given in support to people who do not need it. But we tax the rich more then the middle class and the middle class more then the pore. This way we try to get equality in our society. Socialism is NOT perfect, and it is NOT a solution to the problem of freeloaders.
But at the least, it helps those who need it, and gives people a better chance, and a more secure web to chatch them if they fall. So we have just about no homeless peole in norway. Exept those fucking gypsies! They should learn to speak Norwegian, and get jobs or get the fuck home!

Well, norway has a lot of imigrants as well. But unlike any other estern contry we have more jobs then people! And still we have people that don't have jobs...
However it's not selfish to want to fix your own nation before trying to help other nations. That is logical. And I think you guys can do it. For I have as of yet to meet an amrican ass hole. On the internet sure, but never once in person when I was there.

Criticism to the government, however, is supposed to cause change (but thats part of the problem right now, it doesn't). That and big business is so hell bent on making more profit for themselves that they don't try and help the majority.

I realize our country is doing terrible compared to our past, but its not like peoples constant criticism is going to help at all. Plenty of other countries are doing worse, like North Korea, Greece, most of the Middle East, some south eastern Asian countries, any African country, majority of Central and South America.
Face it, if America was completely wiped out in an instant, the world would suffer in many ways.

Difference is that how those countries fare does not affect the rest of the world. Meanwhile the US is the self-proclaimed face of the first world, sad as it may be, global commerce depends on the US not screwing up too hard. And yes, criticism is going to help, as it spreads awareness of what the problems are, after all if no one complains, the ones that could fix it would never notice that there's something amiss.
