How old were they? Only juveniles tend to do that. Or if you actually smell what they are used to eat.

Various ages; some babies, some adults. Striking is a natural defense for many snakes, and more so in pythons and boas. Lots of snakes like colubrids will hiss, rattle their tails, musk and play dead before striking.

But their defense behaviors are the same. The only difference between these 2 families is that pythonidaes lay eggs. The defensive reflexes are the same; they will give a headbutt. They will strike, constrict and kill only what they believe is a prey.

How not?

dinosaur: any chiefly terrestrial, herbivorous or carnivorous reptile of the extinct orders Saurischia and Ornithischia, from the Mesozoic Era, certain species of which are the largest known land animals. ( dictionary.com) plesiosaur was aquatic and not terrestrial. they also belonged to a different order than the ones listed above.

Then I stand corrected, however, like dinosaurs plesiosaurs are reptiles. Agreed?
User avatar #177 - MacDaed (02/08/2012) [-]
