I know the Maine Coon, Angora, Egyptian Mau, and Siamese breeds can memorize a large number of things and can be taught a few commands but I am not sure where they are in relation to Border Collies. Unfortunately, I haven't come into contact with any Border Collies so I can't speak from experience about them. From what I saw on the jolly old Animal Planet, they seem to be proficient at different things. Cat's can memorize location and patterns where dogs can distinguish their own reflections and can attribute more vocal sounds with different commands.

I really think it depends on the person. I got a Maine Coon hoping for an animal that would just be there to provide company. Instead I get diabetes every time he comes into my room seeking affection.
At the highest ends of the species, tigers and the other large cats are more intelligent than wolves. I do know that the closer wolf descendants, terriers, and poodles are pretty smart but almost all of the domestic breeds tend to fall short when it comes to intelligence.

i just wanted to put my two cents in after watching david attenborough. cats may be considered smarter because they are lone predators, but the pack mentality that dogs have (talking in undomesticated species) is pretty ridiculous. in the smart way. they use sophisticated hunting techniques (wolves, african hunting dogs) similar to the way lions hunt in the wild, yet somehow slightly more dynamic due to their lesser physical prowess. to communicate so accurately and anticipate so accurately as a pack would take a high level of intelligence.
feline species are probably more intelligent for independance but just because a canine hunts in a pack doesnt make it any less intelligent.

Looking at domesticated breeds only, I don't think any cat is smarter then the Border Collie. You can train them to do more things than any other dog and they will respond to just a whistle if trained right. But don't take my word for it because there's a chance I'm wrong (referring to no cats being smarter than that).

I did, but I only want the buttons and maybe the mouse pad. Only reason I said the buttons w/ drawing was because it's easier to calculate (hadn't calculated w/o drawings).

Though I do like the sounds of that package, most of it I don't really want. Also the package doesn't have a listed price.

Ok, if you multiply a number by itself it is called "squaring" it.

For instance, 3*3=9

Now, the square root is what you multiply by itself to get a number. For instance;
the square root of 9 is 3, because 3*3=9.

So what he is saying is root beer squared would just be beer.
User avatar #48 - darkoblivion (03/04/2013) [-]
when you square a square root you just get the number

User avatar #10 - Crusader (02/26/2013) [-]
Not really, because the thing is, each one represents less of a wind or direction and more a place in time and/or concept.
Suicune is purification, he can clean any water, and he represents restoration.
Raikou is chaos, he is fast, unpredictable and he represents that initial cause that makes everything go to shit
Entei is Destruction, he erupts volcanoes with his roar, and represents the devastation that the world can wreak.
Think about the order of any disaster or natural event
There is Chaos that occurs, which leads to destruction which leads to restoration.
These are even the roles that the played in Bell tower.
