...What? How are the Democrats as right-wing as Republicans?
User avatar #460 - TheCanadianPatriot (07/04/2012) [-]
I did not say they were AS right wing but they are none the less a right wing party. They are just more towards the left then the Republicans.

The conservatives may have a majority government but they only got 40% of the votes. The reason is because the other votes were spread out over 3 other parties (4 in Quebec). So even though the Conservatives are in charge doesn't mean Canada is a conservative country. Then as was already stated below is that the Conservatives are a left wing party, they are simply more right wing then the Liberals or NDP. In fact the NDP is the most left wing party of the 4 major parties of Canada (I'm ignoring the Greens as they only have 1 seat in parliament). So conservatives have majority without a majority of the country supporting them, NDP are official opposition and are more left wing then the Liberals.

What you fail to realize is that Canadian Conservatives are even more left wing than American Democrats. Other than that, I see you know your shit.

Also, you forgot about the Green Party, but who doesn't, as of now they are rather inconsequential.

I'm not saying that I agree with American Democrats, What I'm saying is on a scale, most if not all major Canadian parties aside from the Bloc Quebecois is more Left Wing than any major Canadian parties.

America, a highly conservative country? You'll have to elaborate on that.
User avatar #454 - TheCanadianPatriot (07/03/2012) [-]
America has 2 major political parties, the Republicans and the Democrats. It is common knowledge that the Republicans are a right wing party, but what is less know is that the Democrats are as well. The Democrats are simply more left then the Republicans but are still a right wing party (from the mouth of my World Issues teacher).

technically anime is the Japanese abbreviated pronunciation of "animation." In Western countries, anime refers to a style of animation originating in Japan, characterized by colorful graphics and often featuring themes intended for an adult audience. Which includes TLAB, LO K, and Code Lyoko which is a french anime.

yes it is anime. its the style of art that makes it anime, not where it is from.
#12 - TheCanadianPatriot (06/19/2012) [-]
That picture is of an anime yet it clearly has a very different art style. Granted it's from an old anime but still. If it were the art style that makes something anime they would all look similar to this but with better quality. I have been an anime fan since i was 10, all my friends watch anime, and not one of us will tell you that it's the art style that makes something anime.

thumb me down if you want but that's my opinion.

Yeah, but I always assumed that the only reason he could do it is that he was the Avatar. I'm re-watching the first series so when I get to that point I'll pay closer attention. It seams like Amon's technique is different then Ang's so I wonder if he learned it else where...

Makes sense. Again, I just came home from work and am about to pass out. I suppose I should have thought the math out more, but eh. I don't mind being wrong. Either way, it's Zuko's voice and Iroh's name. Major feels will be had.

It would not surprise me for Zuko to have been a pimpin' elderly man, sowing his seed even in his twilight years.
User avatar #3 - computeroverheats (06/17/2012) [-]
I was thinking it might be grandson, but I felt like he wouldn't have had as much say in the naming? Though General Iroh II does seem pretty young... I guess we'll find out soon enough!
#14 - masseffectrules (06/17/2012) [-]
iroh is supposed to enter into a love triangle so he's not too old, it's steel feelsy though because Zuko's daughter named her son Iroh, meaning Zuko must have talked about him enough to where she saw him as deserving.
User avatar #5 - TheCanadianPatriot (06/17/2012) [-]
Well Zuko was 16 in The Last Airbender. Legend of Korra is set 70 years after that. So if Zuko is even alive still he would be 86. It would make more sense for this to be his grandson. Maybe Zuko would talk about his uncle a lot so his daughter named her son after him.
