 ED is meant to be a more realistic space sim. FD doesn't care about story, they just have little news articles you can read in stations. It's actually shittier than Destiny's story & grimoire, and it's all politics. #1374476 -

| Yeah, there's something there, but it won't stay there if FD doesn't get their head out of their asses. Star Citizen looks promising to me, I just don't think I could ever run it. Then there's the possibility of its failure. Plus, if it doesn't have some way to play without encountering other real people, it's gonna be less of a yes. If FD added a lore or really advanced the story and give it more of a fantasy MMO plotline, where there's aliens or something, cause there seems to be barely anything I "fear" or "hate". if there were systems that were "Dungeons" per se where you could go in with a Wing and fight off little shits and then the boss would be a Python that drops rare materials or weapons. That is a lot more RPG and less Roleplay Space Sim. I just feel like Star Citizen has this plot that the players will effect, while ED has this Political system, which don't get me wrong, I think is very cool especially if you look into it, just doesn't rope players in. Basically I want aliens ED is meant to be a more realistic space sim. FD doesn't care about story, they just have little news articles you can read in stations. | Well, you can't make your own power, so I dunno. The game's future does not look promising. This is coming from someone who took a risk with Destiny's expansion, of all things. | I sorta like combat but just generally milling around earning stuff, never through one thing. I don't touch warzones. Combat is bullshit sometimes, and AI lasers are quite literally impossible to avoid, so if you can't tank them, you're dead. Horizons is trash. Not worth the money. If the rest of the additions in this "season" are anywhere near as hollow as planetary landings are, FD will have lost all respect. I like combat, there have been moments when I was fighting an AI and I was like.... "Holy shit this shit is so fucking cool" Combat Zones just suck, Anaconda only costing like 30k Creds to destroy? A wanted Anaconda goes for around 200k and a Sidewinder is 20 something. I haven't played since the power play update... so a while. | tbh the entire game is a grind The fact that the most enjoyable part of the game is actually the least profitable just irks me, trading is boring and lacks risk but is the best route by far It also doesn't help that FD just does the Bethesda thing and lets third party software + player ingenuity fix the problems they can't be bothered fixing, like a lack of information on things like trade exports Yea the whole game is really a grind, you kinda have to roleplay I guess if you really don't want it to be grindy What do you find is the most enjoyable part?
